😅 Thanks, Dominik! The next video is about 30% complete, but summer is my busiest time so things are going slower than I would like. The good news is the cylinder is re-bored to a new piston and I have it back. It might go slow but it never stops!

On the other hand, I AM about to pull the Type 4 engine out of my 1977 Bay for an 'ancillaries refresh', so will be leaning heavily on that excellent earlier series of yours. 😊 Just need to find a vapour blaster in West London to get that 'factory fresh' look!

An easier way to remove the pilot bearing from the rear of the crankshaft is to just stuff white bread into the hole using the clutch alignment tool. The bread dough will force the old bearing out. Only takes a couple slices of white bread to do the job. Use only the white bread, no the crust.

My father bought me a second hand one of these in 1972 for £10. I was 15 and knew nothing about mechanics, nor did my father. Consequently it kept me very fit as it was a pig to start and I spent more time peddling like a lunatic to get it started, which on occasion it did. The rear wheel was on the ground even when the bike was on the stand, so I had to literally pedal or run with the bike. That flimsy stand design was absolutely diabolical. Oh happy days 😅😅😅 they came with a large rigid bag that sat on the back for shopping, so I assume it was aimed at the female market.
