Just got mine without knowing it´s such a treasure !! Almost gave up on getting it, it was almost impossible for me and a friend to pick it up and put inside my car... then transporting it through the elevator, then making it fit inside my small room... i was asking my self all the time.. "what am i doing? i should let it go..." Now i feel happy having it 😀

People got rid of CRTs to save space only to years later put some other huge piece of furniture like a Buffet console on that same space the TV was in.

I had this TV growing up. The remote flips up in the middle, and has a cool PIP feature. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 looks amazing, same with Destroy all Humans!

You probably never heard of the best CRT TV PD30? It has a build in progressive mode, makes every Ps2 game look 480p plus it’s 100% laggless. I guess your journey has only started :P joking, that Sony is amazing. Maybe the PD30 has never released outside Europe?

damn i came so close to greatness but not quite.. only scored a KV-32FS320. Not a bad pickup for $50 though and in good condition. Not easy to come by around here

CRTs will never be made again. The costs are astronomical. There is no market. A few retro gamers is not enough, far from it.

I used to sell these. When these were on the market Plasma TVs were just starting to become "affordable". I had an opportunity to pick one of these up open box for a steal. Needless to say, I passed thinking that it was going to be obsolete soon and I would just save for an ED TV LCD. I have been chasing this damn thing for 10 years. 💀

If you want to connect it to a pc, I think it's probably easier to get a component to VGA cable, as VGA is still an analogue signal

I found a Sony Trinitron KV-32FS210 on the curb. It weighs 200 pounds. It is beat up and dirty but I hope it works. This video made me laugh a lot.

I found one of these sitting on a curve outside of house during a recycle event in a small town and it weighs close to 200 pounds so I couldn’t pick it up and put it in my car otherwise I would’ve happily taken it

There's loads of great Panasonic ones, way better than the Sony's people just overhype the Sony's, they are fantastic, but not the only great ones, Panasonic destroyed them for Colour accuracy, black levels, and we're the most accurate to filmmakers intent

I just used a HDMI to Composite converter and so now I run old VHS rips that have been digitized that can be downloaded online and then run those downloads from my PC to my CRT tv

There is something about scalines that kinda turns me on not gonna lie lol. Visible pixels are ugly, but scanlines? I love em and you can get very low resolutions (by today's standards) looking crisp and beautiful, not just for retro gaming but modern games as well.
