Emphasis on True History.. Cherokee were allowed to Buy Back Their Land!! Those Tidy Whities were so Nice to allow that considering the Indigenous people were here First..

I can understand why she was upset, elders have gone through so much in their life, speak with respect, appreciation and love. Outsiders have done too much damage to our communities took away so much from us & caused so much pain.. the elders hold onto that pain, some of them are the last to speak their language.. can you imagine that kind of pain, watching your community get raided, stolen from, watching your community lose their ancient ways..educate yourself then you will see why she took offense. Do do research, find out what happened to our peoples (all indigenous) then youll know how to speak, how to show appreciation, how to understand the pain in their hearts & their struggles.

Was looking up powwows and came across this 😅. Oh you ran into a tough one right off ha. If you asked me that I would have been ok. But just know if you see someone dressed in regalia I would assume native and not ask. Just ask where they from--small talk first get an idea what they about. maybe mention she looks nice 😉. My nephews drum group is Wildrose from Washington state placed 2nd in drum contest. Attend crow fair or any Northwest or Midwest powwows.

Obviously, you are very awkwardly out of place. So many people go to a Pow Wow thinking outsiders are welcome. Hope you learned your lesson? It is a religious type ceremony for natives, they are not there for tourists...

Don’t agree. The Powow is also a tourist attraction thus the purpose of the vendors and advertisements. mostly tourists in attendance. I do understand the feedback fro the First Lady. the locals are amazing and very welcoming.

I suggest you stop using the word “ like “ so much . I think it’s what created the misunderstanding with the woman when you asked her the question “ like a native “ , she misunderstood what you were trying to say. Don’t overdo the word “ like “ very confusing .

Yeah, that’s a learning experience. It’s my first time visiting an area with a history that’s very sensitive. I could’ve edited out that interaction but wanted the video to be very authentic. Other locals were very welcoming and educated me on the culture and the history of the Cherokee people. Two more videos to come on this region.

Jacking up wages and cant figure out why inflation keeps going up The mind of a LIBERAL How the HELL do you pay people MORE without someone else paying for it. City workers means TAXES GO UP which forces the prices of EVERYTHING HIGHER which is passed on as higher food and retail prices DUMB IS AS DUMB DOES GOVERNMENT PUSHING INFLATION ON THE WORKING MAN
