I always loved The Way Ronnie would walk around on stage looking for Someone and Then He would stop in front of the person staring intently at you and stand there and Shredd away without even looking at what he was playing just burning a hole in you at the same time

Dommage, le chanteur n'est pas à la hauteur. Autrement musicalement il n'y a rien à jeter...

Songs don't work so well without the keys. And that singer sucks ass, total amateur. Is that Freeman Young? Oh jesus he's bad. This should be taken down out of respect to Ronnie's memory.

I moved to San Rafael in '01, how did I miss this show??? hahaha probably fucked up at the time...Ronnie Montrose was the best American hard rock guitarist since Hendrix!! Massive power chords, endless tasty fills, rad fucken leads, such melodic early metal...we wore those first two albums out when I was in college!!

I saw Ronnie 4 times starting in 1975 and spoke to him too he autographed 4 albums

I was with them..... From their studio - stage set-up, the show , then back to their Terra Linda - St. Joesph Ct., in Marin County. ( Did you know, 100 feet across from their studio was Huey Lewis & the News's studio???? )
@vartina1111 ай бұрын
I did not know that Huey was just across the way, but I did spend some time at the Chumbi studio and saw them do practice sets there.

Great clip but doesn't do justice to them live! EmK was (is) _amazing!_ A friend of mine was a roadie for Chumbi. I musta seen them a dozen times. One of my favorites of the 80s.

Sash at Festa Italia in Milwaukee in about 89 or 90. Didn’t know what to expect. But I was totally blown away by his performance, and his enthusiastic legions of fan who were with him every note. Was listening to WGN late night radio who asked the question, name the performer you had no expectations for but were blown away by. When I responded Dick Contino, I didn’t realize that the female cohost (Steve and Johnnie) was an accordion player herself, who just happened to meet Contino one evening with her keyboard in her hand. Glad I got to see him.
