My 3076 is still on the car actually and in perfect condition after 3seasons i just looking to try the new design, and ya they are great, currently having a sale atm I want to go with the g30-770 as it’s the newer 3076 but makes 50-70mire hp at same boost and i choose a smaller exhaust housing to try and get better spool, I just haven’t had the time to install the new turbo yet been busy with the new ls car but would 1000% recommend

Have you ran the turbo yet? The compressor wheel kinda looks like the xona rotor.Their turbine wheel is has different lengths of blades too that makes the turbo spool faster.Hands down the best turbos out right now In my opinion.

I would but i can’t haha, first i don’t have one for the car but also since this car was rwd with a new transmission tunnel the oem heater wouldn’t fit unfortunately, this definitely isn’t something i plan on using often, I was just given an opportunity to review one of these heaters and saw that i could use it in this application, beats hot paws in the boots and 2jackets ice drifting haha

Ya ended up being bearing material went through the turbo, bearings got damaged by contaminated oil, and i was feeding oil straight from the pump, now i have a fresh bearings, new turbo, feeding oil that’s been filtered by the oil filter feeding into an inline filter to a turbosmart pressure regulator to then the turbo, been great so far

@@TalkTime4 thanks and how have those pulsars been treating you guys if you still use them?
@TalkTime4
@TalkTime4 2 жыл бұрын
@@randomgooglename i actually blew my first one because of 130psi of contant oil pressure and some bearing material went through it, but We have a bunch of customers and friends running them no problem, my motor makes very high oil pressure and even with a restrictor it’s not enough so I’m adding a turbosmart oil pressure regulator, and a vibrant inline oil filter on the turbo feed to solve this issue, I have a new 3076r to go back on from pulsar, but it made 475whp and 426wtq on my 2.4L 4cylinder at 18psi with no timing, no where near maxing this turbo out, I had full boost around the 4k rpm and maintained power to 8k rpm redline, I got unlucky but I learnt something, but for the price you can’t beat it
@randomgooglename
@randomgooglename 2 жыл бұрын
@@TalkTime4 so too much oil pressure caused turbo failure then correct?
@TalkTime4
@TalkTime4 2 жыл бұрын
@@randomgooglename hard to tell because some bearing material went through it and it, the spool down kept getting noisier until it siezed but Garrett recommends max of 40psi, and even with a restrictor it limits flow not pressure and at 130-140psi is just way too high

Yoo for the 4b11t gsr evo x how would you do this? Weld what part of the center diff or where you would need to in order to split the torque to 100% to the rear? In trying to figure out how to do this to a 4b11t evo x.
@TalkTime4
@TalkTime4 2 жыл бұрын
The only way to split torque to the rear only would be to rotate engine 90degree and put a rwd transmission on, check rwd_evox on instagram, he did this with his evo x, pretty cool and well done, by welding center diff you’re just ensuring that the front and rear wheels spin together, kind of like welding a rear diff to lock both wheels together, just so when you remove the front axles the transmission isn’t trying to send torque to the wheels with least resistance because if you just delete the front axles the center diff if not locked will try to send power to the front wheels as there is no resistance, it could work to drive around but centerdiff would endup exploding eventually, best bet is weld center diff, remove front axles and send it, you wont notice 100% torque or 50/50 split as the rear end will be easy to kick out and break traction, hope this helps
@TalkTime4
@TalkTime4 2 жыл бұрын
Also I don’t believe it would only be 50% of the torque it would still be 100% but to both front and rear at the same time
@Lebigmacrules
@Lebigmacrules 2 жыл бұрын
@@TalkTime4 so you suggest removing the front axles like you did in the evo 3 and welding the center diff. Im looking to be able to do some drift events and still be able to go back to awd later if I want to but I dont mind having a welded diff chirp or ruin my tires. So if you suggest removing front axles and just sealing the inner shaft of the axle and using the other end of the axle to just seal the wheel bearing and weld the center and rear diffs that would make for a decent drift car obviously after getting possibly an angle kit. If that would work on the 4b11t gsr transmission what would I have to do so the center diff doesn't explode on me or the rear driveshaft taking too much stress. I guess you could say I dont mind it not being 100% torque but I want it to feel like I'm driving a rwd car so I can take her sideways on drift events
@Lebigmacrules
@Lebigmacrules 2 жыл бұрын
@@TalkTime4 thanks for the help btw its definitely a plan while I have the motor trans and transfer case out of the car to weld up the center diff and set up for rwd run the car rwd I wont be losing half my power/torque atleast thats what im hoping
@TalkTime4
@TalkTime4 2 жыл бұрын
Oh it will definitely feel like a rwd car haha, i personally would get a second trans as a rwd and just go back to the standard one when you want to go back awd, im unsure how the axles work on the evo x, on the 3 the trans side has a c-clip on the axle stub so it can’t just pop out of the trans and on the other side the axle bolts to the block

@@Lebigmacrules in the evo 1-3 the viscous coupler is directly linked to the center diff, locking the viscous coupler is the same as welding the center diff, this works great to split torque 50/50 front rear on a drag car
