I know Isengard had no choice but to rush and force the fight otherwise they’d just suffer from shooting but charging against the orgasnised formations. Of the elves and being divided up by those rocks decided the match before it started

I believe we measured it and were both happy with the result, we also may have repositioned it a little to make sure it looked like he was facing the enemies for thematic purposes as well

Thank you so much for all the great battle reports guys. Really glad I found your channel. I wanted to ask one thing about the rules in Amdur's fight during 18:45 . There he fights one Moria Goblin. Although shouldn't the dragon next to him, on the building be part of the fight too? There is an Errata in August's 2022 FAQ which clarifies that a model which is 1 inch below (heightwise) of a model with the fly special rule when the second has landed on a terrain piece above the first, counts as being in combat and the movement of the dragon in that case, to that place, counts as a charge. Does the errata mean 1 inch right below the flying monster's base in which case Amdur gets away with it, not having to fight the dragon too, or 1 inch from the highest point of the model to the edge of the flying's monster base, in which case it should have been Amdur vs the goblin and the dragon? 18:31 . Thank you again for your time and the reports.

Great catch, that is a rule that I had completely overlooked, otherwise I would've used it haha, but I believe the model has to be underneath the base, and I believe he is just outside of it -will

Moria player should have split the gobbos. The best thing about this legion is that it doesn't break if the balrog is not beat up.

@@Schmidy93 well I think in this case it's due to the scenario and low model count of the armies, breakthrough encourages close quarters fighting, but with something like command the battlefield it's much better to be spread out

Shooting happens one at a time, so you can't "waste" a wound when speed rolling. The arrow would simply hit the next eligible model.

That is fair, I think when we speed roll, we usually will do spill over, unless it is different defences, then we will just take the L haha

7:30 you would've needed to roll 1 more in the way for the fire breath seeing if it hit the goblin or his target since they are engaged in combat, if it hit the goblin, gwahir wouldn't have taken a hit, but luckily he didn't take a wnd so it didnt make that much of a difference

So Legolas has a special rule that lets him automatically hit a target no matter the amount of in the ways there are on a roll of a 2 plus. I rolled a 4, which means I hit the horse, the horse has 4 defence, which means I needed a 5 to wound the horse

Why should they win without problem? They’re outnumbered almost 2:1, they are 99% D3 and the the list is pretty rubbish (Throwing daggers on bowmen & spear supports is a waste of points) I’d say Mordor should beat them in most if not all scenarios.

Great Video! I am a big fan of thematic and small skirmish. I am playing in an escalation tournament locally with 11 players starting at 100 points. Allows new and veteran players to compete with out being overwhelmed.

Bringing the one ring is a good counter against the Balrog, Isildur is great against the Balrog, even if you just shield with isildur and a num warrior you're likely to stop the balrog for as long as the whole game, but Isildur can also gradually do damage to him. double handed strikes with a trap on the balrog will do damage

The best counter to the Balrog is just to kill the army. Even against Depths of Moria, the best bet is to go for the goblins first, then overwhelm the Balrog. In this game, Gwaihir could have kept the Balrog busy for ages while Dain smashed the army.

That's because of the betrayers special rule, which causes any poison weapons to reroll any failed attempt at a wound
