4hp increase ? Whats holding it back ? Is that to keep it emissions legal ?
@P3TuningLTD3 күн бұрын
It’s just the bike itself isn’t really restricted so overall gains aren’t that big. It’s just the delivery on power that’s been transformed👍

Did you adjust the AFR between the MWR and DNA filter? Maybe the MWR just made it far too lean. Do you know the AFR between the two? Without remap those numbers may be pretty meaningless.
@P3TuningLTD9 күн бұрын
Thanks for the interest. Sorry this was not shown on the video but the AFR was the same for both filters to make it a fair test with no other variables. Kind regards P3
@blackmav59 күн бұрын
@@P3TuningLTD Very interesting, which specific filters from DNA and MWR did you use? Do you have custom or stock stacks mounted? I got interested in such comparisons recently as I just stumbled once on a "performance improvement" that actually made things worse ;-) I guess there is a lot of money spent on minuscule changes that actually don't really matter. I thought of buying a MWR filter, but now I'm not sure anymore.
@P3TuningLTD9 күн бұрын
@@blackmav5 yeah upgrades can be a complete unknown and getting genuine back to back tests is tricky. For this it was the MWR “R” race filter and the normal DNA air filter. (DNA actually don’t sell their proper competition filters outside of race teams or trusted sellers) with stock stacks. Ok there is a lot to be aware of when it comes to tuning mods, specifically what is the gain? Maximum power usually means revs and all the power is at the top, torque and midrange performance are actually requiring different things, meaning getting high efficiency at the top (short intake system stacks etc, short exhaust with large diameter pipes, aggressive cam profiles) kills low down performance where long intake systems, narrower exhaust and less cam profile are needed. We see lots of “bought this ex race part and now it doesn’t run well” it’s all down to what they are designed for and the other systems required to get the best from each. Most modifications actually don’t work well alone especially things that affect the engine as you have to factor getting the bike mapped to suit . Hope this makes sense and apologies for the essay. Kind regards P3 Tuning
@blackmav59 күн бұрын
@@P3TuningLTD Love the essay, always good to get more thoughts in. I totally agree. As rather slow driver I'd profit far more from more mid range gains instead of only high rev power. Which of course is unfortunate since I'm a Kawasaki fanboy and they don't really do mid range ;-) Hope to see more ZX-10R stuff and comparisons, just subed. Cheers Adrian

Hi, question. you unresticted the air flow in the cbr ? I know for many videos that has a really restricted air flow to the cilinders from stock. And second question, you tuned another cbr 650 r, because I see a video that they get it to 110-120hp only making the modification I mentioned. But I can't see this video any more :( . Thanks.

Have a problem with my Triumph motorcycle engine knocking. Is it possible that the ECU programming cause the engine to start knocking ? Is it possible that the factory mapping could become corrupt or partially corrupt and cause engine knocking ? Thank you !
@P3TuningLTDАй бұрын
Knocking normally from the big end (deep knocking sound from the engine) is from the big end bearings wearing/ melting this is down to poor lubrication as the bearings actually don’t touch as the con-rod floats on the oil, as soon as there is contact the friction heats up the bearing wears it and melts the bearing creating a gap and then the knock. Chances of poor mapping creating the problem is very unlikely. Detonation or pinking (higher pitch noise high in the engine) can be bad mapping or poor quality fuel. Kind regards P3 Tuning
@ginoasci2876Ай бұрын
@@P3TuningLTD : I appreciate your response It has all the power, and there is no over heating. The knocking gets louder as you move closer to the carburetors, near the top end. It also has too much oil in it. Way too much. Could this over load of oil cause it to knock ?
