Im so getting this... it will be perfect for my longer hops... im usually flying the MD500 heli.... but this is very attractive to me... ideal for those longer hops where i can cruise and hit Auto pilot.... these are wayyyyy nicer than CR20's etc...

Thank you so much for this. Earlier i could not even complete a single flight since it would crash everytime. Since i disabled AI Traffic, i have had 0 crashes and have completed over 5 flights including a 7 hour flight. Thanks again for sharing this👍

Is it 'Or-eh-gun'? Looking at purchasing.. Loads better than the default. Has it been updated substantially?

Ok for me I solved my CTD problem : In the graphic settings I reduced my buildings setting to medium. On high it will crash to desktop in big cities.

I guess I'm late to the party for these videos... but this is the best entry point explanation I have found thus far as new MSFS and flight sim enthusiast.

ctd's and fps issues are driving me crazy, it seems super random

MSFS 2020 Start up crashing with this exact error (The Game has crashed. Error code:(0xc0000005) was an irritation for a lot of months. Circumstances led me to have to reinstall Windows 11. After a clean install,and a clean install of MSFS 2020, The sim quit generating that start up error. I was happy to see that. Ran the sim for about a week. No errors or problems. Then i decided to to install my Logitech Flight Multi Panel.( the one that has the auto pilot controls etc). Go to start the Sim,, The error message poped up and it crashed.. I uninstall the pos driver for it and the Sim is perfectly fine since. Bout all i can tell ya's.

It’s really sad about this plane in the flight simulator because I bought it a long time ago and just a bit ago they downgraded it so now it uses the old gauges and the freedom fox livery has been removed. Super annoying.

I have a problem you might be able to help me when li load MSFS it loads fine but when I click on general options the sim CTD I can use the rest of the sim can’t find a fix any help would be appreciated.Thanks Larry

Thanks Lutz, I do see the value in NG but I am also very new to the whole world of training myself to, A. build a full on and good flight sim at home, B. buying hardware that efficiently supports my growing needs, C all at a cost that is reasonable, D, useful purchases that are meaningful and useful, appropriate for a beginner who really wants to fly in real life. I am not sure about my $150.00 purchase of NG as being an efficient and necessary purchase at the point in my training. Especially as thier is limmited support for learning pitols who are focused with VFR to get them selves started. Thanks for the little navmap advice, might have been more suitable for my situation when I started. I wonder in NG would consider holding my annual membership in a pause status until I grew into their service that I bought only a few months ago? Well, its in todays times that I think this, so, no is very likely the answer. Anyways, thank for your time Lutz, keep on flying and stay safe.. Dean

Hi. Your video series is great....but I have a lot of problems between this video and the actual version 8.31.0. I have tried to follow creating a simple flight plan, but many icons are not available anymore, menus are different etc. Are you able to create an update of this series? I want to use Navigraph now (just freshly subscribed) but without a tutorial (for me) I'm 100% lost :-)

Thank you!!! This is indeed the problem I am seeing. I am amazed this is still an issue TWO YEARS later! Turning off AI Traffic did the trick. Interesting that I didn't even have red in the FPS monitor (in fact green) but this still was causing CDTs. I am seeing reports of this problem from three years ago and Asobo has still not addressed this problem. I hate not having any AI traffic but as you say, at least I can fly for more than thirty minutes!

Is this really a fix? By disabling ai traffic? Oke i dont get ctd but now i dont have any traffic. Its 2 years ago where is the real fix for this from microsoft?

i just bought mfs on xbox app and when i open it that 2gb installer opens it crashes before it can even start the download. It just crashes and closes the game with no error. If anyone know how to help pls

I owned and flew a LongEZ for 9 years and now own a Cozy IV canard. I have almost 1000 hrs. flying canards and over 1000 landings and takeoffs. I understand that Microsoft has limitations on the physics modeling. It is a very nice 3D model and the canopy is fixed, however it doesn't fly much like a real one. I have never crashed a real canard but crashed this EZ in the sim hundreds of times. Mostly the ground handling is unrealistic. A real canard has a tendency to roll straight on the ground but the virtual one wants to do everything but. It will not go straight and wants to turn right on takeoff. A real canard requires almost no rudder input to stay except in a crosswind. This is because the pusher thrust is almost at the center of the airplane so no P-Factor or torque effects. Also, a real one does not change pitch trim with throttle changes, unlike this model. A LongEZ is probably one of the best flying airplanes ever made so don't get discouraged with the simulator version, nothing flies right in a PC simulation.

how do you get the landing gear to come down. I bought this and can't figure it out. The spawn comes up nose down into the pavement. and if you hover your mouse on the crank and scroll the mouse wheel, nothing happens, just an audible click. Seems like there's a landing gear lock somewhere? I try to take off but it says damage to the plane after a few feet into take off (due to the nose gear in the nose down position). what the heck am I missing ??? stupid me can't find anything on the googles either. The controls have gear up and gear down and toggle gear... but none of those do anything apparently on this model. (so so close to actually flying this thing)

CAUTION: Most of the centreline markings I've observed in X-Plane are incorrect. In Canada our markings are 100 ft long separated by 100 ft. Some GA pilots use/count these markings to monitor decision points for rejected takeoffs. In X-Plane, I'm unable to practice this skill because the centrelines are not realistic.

This is hands down the best review of a scenery add-on I've ever seen.

I just bought this product, it still looking a better than the latest default scenery from Asobo. Aslo FPS is not affected, but there is one problem. There are unrealistic hills in the surroundings that disappear only at a small distance. Is there any advice or fix?
