Nice to see the VMAT-102 markings. I notice that the aircraft is painted to look rather dirty. In actual use, 102's aircraft were kept much cleaner (speaking from personal experience at VMAT-102). Here's one of my photos... live.staticflickr.com/3396/3558601382_d06f189a59_b_d.jpg
After shading the panel lines in black, by following the painting instructions, the top surface was painted with Mr color C337, the sides with C307, and the underneath with C308. Thank you☺

I'm building the same low-vis one from Hasegawa and was checking how to apply those 3, how did you make it to look like it's just 1 type of paint? thanks! @@modellerpero-ms

@@RenegadeOfSilence I don't remember much about this work as it was made more than 10 years ago, and I can't confirm as it has already been discarded, but I think it was probably masked with a piece of paper attached with shredded masking tape slightly raised above the painted surface, and then airbrushed. I am sure these greys were used as they were and the tones were not adjusted. I think matt clear was airbrushed over the entire surface after that. This would make the tone look whiter. Also, the light conditions at shooting and adjustments during image editing would have changed the appearance.🙂
