I really like the way these buttons pressed. They kinda remind me of Dover’s old traditional buttons. But, putting these back together is the most painful thing I’ve done.

I just went on these today! These were so fun to ride despite my ears popping 😂! These are Schindler 7000's with the PORT system and they travel 1,200 fpm for 60 floors. The main guest elevators were cool but not as fast but they are key carded below 57

The brass really makes this pop! very odd that the indicator and buttons use numbers/letters respectively. Lovely motor hum too

This is epic

Still in marvelous condition 110 yrs later working well. It was engineered to last for decades, built like a battle ship. I noticed the roping was 1:1 5000# capacity however the extended length of the counterweight with the added weight blocks, likely compensated in lieu of a 2:1 roping and compensating sheave on the cab and counterweight.

These replace the other Schindler 330A’s
