I really think it would be appropriate if Hopkins beats virginia. I love Virginia you know that, but I almost feel like they don't belong there given what Cornell did. I feel like you lose four in a row, you've compromised something. I do think Hopkins beats Virginia. And I hate it.

Virginia has (too many to count) top 10 high school recruits whereas Hopkins has like 1 (?). Can't hate an underdog if they win.

to be fair those 4 loses that uva had in row were against 3 top 4 teams being duke, cuse and ND 2x not like they lost to lower teams they were top top teams

I'm a Maryland fan and this year's team sucks. It might be a good thing to be left out of the tournament and make the players watch someone who wants to win. Better yet, make them go to class so the realize how soft they have it. Teams have figured out Tillmans offense and his defensive patterns. He no longer has the coaching edge he did just a couple of years ago. Lots of underachievers and lots of guy who flat out can't hit the net.

The main thing, he's not getting as many top guys and over achievers. UVA, Duke and UNC are hogging all the top level guys, especially offensively and Maryland's shine has dropped a bit. The ACC is stealing the transfers and top offensive guys.

@@LaxFactorYou are not wrong! I see the lists of top guys coming out of High School and UVA always cleans up, NC and Duke also get a ton of blue chippers every year. Notre Dame also recruits well. Your team, Cuse is almost there and could make a run this year. I'm not too worried because we do have some real lacrosse dawgs coming in. Tillman will figure it out. You have a great channel and it's nice to hear from someone who knows the game.

Eh, every player these days has bad games the way defenses work. O'Neill got shots off pretty easily, he just didn't hit them. There are some guys that are "finishers" and others that are "goal scorers". O'Neill isn't a finisher, he's a "goal scorer". Goal scorers are prone to having down games when they don't shoot well. On the flip, true finishers are usually guys that mainly require help to get shots off, so even where they are better shooters overall, they can get quiet when they don't get the ball, aka, Dyson Williams last night finished with 0 goals off just 4 shots.

Cuse teams from the past 3-4 years would have for sure blown their lead and lost. Sure Duke played poorly but the way Cuse held on to the early momentum for the whole game is huge.

This is what good teams do, use their depth and longevity to fight through a full 60 minutes and keep up tempo. Maryland and UVA have done it for years and it’s great to finally see Cuse back in this position to do so!

I agree. They were playing well in this defensive system. I'm not sure if this was just a freak occurrence or if they really are starting to figure it out. Offensively we knew they'd score goals and knew they'd keep coming, but damn, that defense, what they did for all 4 quarters was bonkers.

I don't buy that the Orange are 6 goals better than Duke, Duke played poorly, but this does show that Cuse is legit right there at the top hanging with everyone. 1-goal losses to Maryland and Army, a 6 goal win over Duke, they are building a resume for sure. Just have to handle business vs Hobart this weekend. No trap games.

This is great! On top of being able to watch a good breakdown, this has been fantastic for my son. He's 10 and getting to the age where coaches are asking him to watch games/film and look for things. Being able to pull this up and have some solid breakdown for him has been fantastic. Please keep this format going with the top weekly game(s)!!

Someone explain to me how Michigan is ranked higher than Penn, Princeton, North Carolina, and Harvard? I understand they're all 6'4" gorillas, but that's no reason to be scared. They won't come to your house if you don't vote for them, will they? Colgate has done more than Michigan and Rutgers!

His save percentage was well below his season average. That's how I determine it's not his best day. Easy peasy. He had a couple of sick saves and a couple he probably would like to get another shot at.

Very cool. (Not the score). You know I've been watching this game now for almost 8 or 9 years, and I still I'm learning about defense, I find it fascinating, because to me the offense of the game is just by nature difficult to defend. This is the best game there is. That Collision reminds of Lennon, although my son wasn't that fast.

I like the comment about Hopkins playing man down a lot cuz I think it looks like Hopkins is back because of what you said. I think it would have been 17 to 9 if Hopkins could keep a guy off of The penalty situation.

In my first year or so I ate a ton of crap from people about cursing, but I do this for fun, not money, and if I can't curse am I even living haha? In seriousness, people chirped early on, but I haven't heard not a peep in the last 3 or so years about the cursing. Some people don't care, others do. Thanks for being cool haha.
