I had a Phillips screw stick onto the end of my lasertip screwdriver after unscrewing it. I knew then there was something good about how it bit into the crew. Most of my screwdrivers are more typical....and I own more screwdrivers than I should....Wera makes good stuff. The lasertip is a cool feature and worth having in the arsenal. I prefer the bolster style for weight in the hand (yellow)...but if I had to carry them on my belt....I would go green/black. Sorry, but I don't know all the ins and outs of their product line...I just bought the ones I like. I do have some old school MAC screwdrivers with handles that are impervious to solvents/cleaners and any other nasty chemical that they have ever encountered. Some of the Wera handles don't do as well that way... so I keep them away from chemicals.

I may have to look into those. They seem to be pretty good ratchets. Some people don't like that handle, but I do. VIM is a little too expensive for what they are, just imo. I've heard good things about Capris extra long ratchets as well.

Watching the video it looks like the the reason that the sawzall didn’t work well was because the orange rubber handle was allowing enough give of the hammer in the (not well secured) vice that the blade wasn’t allowed to oscillate enough to actually cut.

I FEEL LIKE IT WOULD BE BETTER USED FOR THE FIRST QUARTER TO HALF TURN ON A STUCK SCREW FULLY DRIVEN INTO METAL. WHICH IS A PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM SO NOT SUCH A SPECIALIZED TASK. THIS SCREW WILL WOBBLE AND RIP THE WEAK WOOD FIBRES WITH EACH HAMMER BLOW AND YOU CAN JUST USE A REGULAR SCREWDRIVER WITHOUT HAMMER ACTION ONCE IT IS LOOSE.

I do believe the screw holding the belt clip on holds the center of the tape and the center of the spring together. If you had removed that screw, then you could’ve slid the rubber over molding off of the tape measure, using a standard Phillips screwdriver. You would have then been able to remove the rest of the screws and pull the thing apart without it flying all over the place. Was damn near driving the chisel through your hand also for dramatic effect? 🤦🏼♂️

I have the 3 peice set of these. They are good for getting carb screws to break loose on Japanese bikes and atv's. They all use JIS head screws and most people use regular phillips tipped screwdrivers on them, which winds up damaging the screw heads. The no 3 driver is good for Toyota brake rotor screws. I always hold them with just a little firm torque in the direction they rotate, and it seems to help. Once in a while, i have to get out the hand impact, but not often. Anyone who works on Japanese made equipment should know about JIS hardware. They also double as just a regular screwdriver. Vessel is well made and has become my go-to tool brand for screwdrivers and the like.

I've had MAC and SnapOn, I will never buy another MAC tool, they're lifetime warranty, but trying to get them to warranty something is almost impossible, SnapOn, they are the same, they have absolutely no desire to warranty tools, they might as well give you a prostate exam with a cactus with the interrogation and when you have a torque wrench that you paid damn near $400 for 20 years ago, and they won't warranty it (locking collar doesn't lock) because it's an older model, that's a kick to the groin
