The plant with the pink flowers is Himalayan Balsam, its taking over the country. Its an invasive species and should be pulled up whenever seen, obviously to much to tackle there though, Looking forward to the next trip.

Worst Summer I can remember ☹️

Growth on bridleway, footpaths and even well used Sustrans routes has been unprecedented this year. I always have secateurs in my pocket. If every walker or cyclist carried a pair once a week, most paths could be bramble vine free.

Last time I stopped there,a couple of years ago, there was an occupied caravan parked in the field surrounded by that detritus.....

Another really interesting video. I'm sure you've been asked before but what is the tune that's played towards the end and a couple of times earlier? It's a fiddle/banjo/mandolin number. Really like it.

Had an overcharge issue on my wife's bike. 10 minute "update" at a competent and caring dealer (despite not buying the bike from them) had her back on the road with no issues since. My own X35 bike acted up the next year (Level 1 assist would show on the Pulsar 1 display but never kick-in, then it would show Level 0 again. Just like a laptop, turning the thing off/on would fix it but who wants that at the bottom of a hill?) 10 minute "update" at the same dealer took care of it and all good now. I like these bikes a LOT more than I thought I would!

Hi guys your canal rides have inspired me to get off the road and have a go. Just got back from a short ride from runcorn to Preston brook then onto Stockton heath with the road riding it was29 miles . More towpath miles to follow 👍👍👍

I always enjoy your videos. I live in Cumbria and just turned 71. I got myself a cheap and cheerful Chinese e MTB ...I try to use legpower as much as possible....but those hills are getting steeper. I watch your Scottish Borders and North Cumbria rides to give me ideas for rides. I really enjoy your canal rides with your pal....I'm originally from Lancashire so recognise some of these. As you say, people can just skip the final cut if they want to, ....common sense really. The thing about common sense....it's not so common!! It's your channel your efforts

One particular one - Ryan Van Duzer - just puts “Full Length version” for those who don’t realise that you’ve put the episodes together to stop the moaners moaning.
