WTF is with all these Koreans in the comment section as if the video has anything to do with Korea. Out of all videos on KZfaq, this is the first one "plagued" with Koreans

I understand ... They are just too full of national pride. Yes I am also Korean, and I get why Koreans are commenting cuz it's the home of heated floor since 300 BC.... Well I get why they are so hyped for this and proud of traditional Korean technology spreading across the world and being the most efficient heating solution, but it's just too much. All countries have this kind of national pride stuff and some have too much. They are the problems not Korean.

@@NylonMusk나일론머스크 I understand the pride. What I don't understand is that there are only Koreans in the comment section, as if there are no others. Nothing against Korea, I highly respect it and its people.

Hi there, This time-lapse video shows the laying of an underfloor heating screed system. The installers are a company that specialise in screed, they had pressure tested the system prior to screed being laid (just not shown). Pressure testing is important to do and should also be done for a second time prior to commisioning the system. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our team on: 0333 800 1750 Thank you.

If you have the whole floor radiating out an even heat, this seems more efficient than a radiator as the surface area is so big? The air is warmed right above the floor and this is where the cold sits.... by directly convecting from the floor, does this lower bills by having a lower temperature and a much bigger surface area? Or am I over estimating the efficiency?
@ContinalUnderfloorHeating
@ContinalUnderfloorHeating 2 жыл бұрын
On the whole underfloor heating is approximately 25% - 30% more efficient than radiators. This is due to the larger surface area being heated and a lower flow temperature used. Feel free to get in contact with our team, we will aim to answer any questions you may have. 0333 800 1750

Thanks for the great video. My question is what would you put over the top of the spreader plates as a flooring which is suitable for heat transfer? Would an 18mm chipboard t&g flooring be ok? Then on top of that would be underlay and then laminate flooring. Cheers

What depth do you need?

Hi Rob, the recommended depths for screed are 75mm for a standard site mix or 65mm for a pumped liquid screed. However, it is always worth checking with the supplier if different depths are required. If you require more information, please give us a call on 0333 800 1750.

What happens if you get even one small leak?
@ContinalUnderfloorHeating
@ContinalUnderfloorHeating 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, In this situation, the pipe would need to be repaired with a coupler that we can provide. We would recommend replacing the loop though as it would reduce any issues that joining pipe may cause. When the repair is completed a full pressure test would be required. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us through our website: www.ufh.co.uk or by phone: 0333 800 1750

You leave the system under pressure until concrete is poured. And no joints allowed on loops also to optimize the flow. Never had a leak or heard of one in 25years.

it is possible to use the exact same pipes. But You cant have both, heating and cooling at once. Few challenges may arise. You have to control temperature 18c degrees is the bottom what you can reach. You can find few tutorials on how you can combine this system with an air conditionier. Obviously, there is a lot of controversy in doing so. But from few happy users, I can tell that it is doable if installed properly.

I'm thinking subfloor over the aluplates... 6mm floor grade plywood then thin carpet underlay, then thin carpet? Or can I put the underlay on directly? If I was going to go with glue-down LVT, once again, is the best option the 6mm floor grade plywood?
