Really useful video. Mine had all the cleaner solution pipes blocked up and I had trouble removing the cover - after watching your video it all made sense - why put the screws behind the wheels beats me. Pipes now cleaned and reassembled.

the 82 xj 550 is extremly picky about their oil ...also about sitting up , itll take a good year of riding for the clutches to come back in.....sounds stupid , but that's exactly what it takes ...new everything changes nothing ...either way same result ....mobile 1 10-40 racing oil is key ...trust me ive tried it all ....good luck ...when the clutch comes it the front tire will start lifting which my 650, 750 & 1100 will never do ...the 550 is an absolute blast 💯❤️

Those things were the AK47 of lightweight rotary hammers. Provided some lube for the drill chuck, they go forever. Many spare parts are still available from Bosch professional.

My PWS620 also grounded itself, basically the motor bearing fell apart. It was making the same noise while running as this one in the video. I've just ordered new bearings and hopefully it will work after replacing them. The bearings lasted around 15 years so i would say that they lasted a long time

I've found success on my lathe parting with my parting blade installed upside down and the lathe running in reverse. Since your chuck is a screw on variety, that might not be an option. A solid rear toolpost could also be an option to help with parting in that case. Collet block (ER32 for me) is on the cards as I just got a milling machine... could have done with one the other day actually as I needed to cross drill some bolts. Nice job on your collet block, it turned out well.

Thanks a lot! A chuck undoing itself on a running machine will now hunt me in my dreams...i also deal with the topslide being extended out a lot since part of the bed is missing under the chuck. ER is nice because it's standardised. My set is used in my smaller, older lathe, the collets are not normed or anything of course, hence the funky (M) 21x1.

We are struggling with this exact same thing on our 82 xj550. Took all the rings out and saw that wavy looking ring (Clutch Boss Spring). Put new friction plates in and while consulting the Clymer manual it noted there were supposed to be 2 clutch boss springs...we only had one. Found out later that some versions of the bike had two and some only had one. So we put it all back together (it was a very tight fit with the boss spring) and clutch doesn't work at all now. After watching your video I see we should have soaked the new friction plates overnight but I'm also going to try leaving out the clutch boss spring to see if that makes a difference. Thanks for posting!

I only have a German remake of the original repair manual and there was no mention of a boss spring, very interesting. In my case the Springs didn't fit into the I D of the frictions. If that's the case for you as well, try just leaving them out, as far as I know modern clutches don't habe preloads like this as well. Regarding the soaking, I don't really know, but I guess it prevents them from burning up, think of like a soft brake pad.... Good luck with your project!

Thanks, great video and hats off to you for the spare part follow up. My Karcher switch is not turning the unit off anymore, but otherwise works. I reckon that's the better problem to have and I don't fancy taking the motor apart to get into the switch - though I guess I could if the switch stops delivering power altogether.

I just fixed mine earlier today. It wouldn't switch on. Inside that red switch there are two more springs placed on the contacts, I found one has come off and fixed. I suggest you get yourself a multimeter so that you don't go live to test. Great video by the way 👍

I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game for Christmas in 2021 from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching KZfaq. So i decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

The white electrical connect part from the base can be pulled out and held with nose pliers to get a good connection.

Hi. Just a comment for reference. At 6.20 in you refer to seals which are in fact spacers. Under the spacers are rubber seals. I have just taken mine apart and I believe that these seals are my problem. Always good to see videos like yours.

Hi. Just a comment for reference. At 6.20 in you refer to seals - they are in fact spacers and underneath there are seals through which the pistons travel. I’ve just taken mine apart as I think it is those seals that are my problem - not exactly sure as yet. I have pressure with the machine but not enough - and I have no other leaks.
@enmecerror1789
@enmecerror1789 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, you may be correct with the seals. I didn't want to pull mine apart as it doesn't leak and didn't want to mess it up .-. - i think i meant the spacers are like a headgasket, when thinking about it like a combustion-engine, thought they might have double duty. I'm gonna link an update if i ever get to it...
