i have external modules but my biggest issue is when i try to use the mute feature to sequence tracks they won't stay muted in the correct sequence when im trying to record the external synths into the software

You don't do software, but IF the globals are such a pain in the ass just use Mark Reids editor. It is as easy as plugging a usb cable to your computer and open a browser.

I stumbled upon this video after following you and seen others in your channel, and though, I'm gonna give a go to this J2 slot B on my Nord Lead 2, it doesn't sound the same at all, could be the reverb set up, but is not quite there (I even copied your knobs and functions, even thought these are not affecting the patch on selection) - I'll try and get to that sound myself now! Good challenge! Keep it up! And keep loving gear as much as you do! :) Loved your gear tour and how you approached that one!

I had one in the ‘80s with the soft gig bag also. I loved it, and wish I still had it. In some ways you had to be more creative then, but what with my Wavestate, and I bought an Akai MPC 37 recently; I still have a lot to learn.

Hi Jorb, excellent video. at 5:08 the LFO controls the filter , does it control the frequency, resonance and envelop all together or can it be separated, meaning just control the frequency and not the others?

That knob is just lfo to the cutoff frequency, not everything

@@JorbLovesGear ah ok. Thank you awesome. Do you know if the LFO can start at a higher frequency and turn it down, rather than up and down? Think of the frequency at 180 and then Turing it down quickly right when the note start. Like a pluck/laser bass sound. Sorry I am a total noob at synths.

@@ud4458 that might be a better job for an envelope, something that also changes overtime, but cycles once per keypress. I have a pretty beginer friendly intro to synthesis in my minilogue video, that might help

@jorb thanks for making this vid. Just bought your patches. Can't get them to load into the synth. I'm mac OSX Ventura (someone below said worked fine) and just did firmware update to synth and didn't help. Anyone else reporting issues? Here's what I did: -Dropped in the patch file to the deepmind app -The new patch bank appears in left and right bank columns -If I copy the Jorb presets bank into the bank of the same name on the right it loads super fast like its not actually loading data. Presets appear in bank column but not on deepmind. -All the Jorb preset names from the bank show up in the preset column below the bank on both the left and the right hand side, but none of them show up on the deepmind itself so looks like nothing transfered -If I transfer the presets to a factory bank like Bank H it takes some time to load like they are actually copying over (appx 30-40 seconds) but then when I click on Bank H it is empty of presets in the deepmind app and they are not loaded on synth even if I scroll up and down in preset browser banks -In the app none of factory banks do NOT show any of the factory presets which seems odd like its not actually connecting to the synth or the factory presets are not there even though they are on the synth and I can select through them -I powered on / off, did a firmware update, update went smoothly and computer is talking to deepmind and deepmind did complete update and this did not fix the issue -I'm on OSX Ventura 13.1 hoping this is not the issue and would be surprised that firmware update works but preset loading does not Any help or input if other people having this issue appreciated.

Funny. I'm going the other way; instead of building distractions, I reduce them to minimum with the devices that only do what they need to do. "instead of doing my 45 second take again, I can fiddle with it for 5 minutes" . . yeah. That's my biggest issue with these new devices. Distractions.

Hi Jorb. These patches are amazing! 😊 I purchased and downloaded all the patches and was planning on importing them via the Editor on my MacBook. In the Editor, I can drag the patches into the left side, and the bank is visible. But when I try to “copy to the right side”, nothing happens 😬 The patch names slowly change to the original patches again. In another forum somebody told me to search for the “PHAT12” in the directory, but that is not visible to me either. Sorry for the long question. Best regards from a subscriber, who really would like to hear these awesome patches on my DM12 🤞🏼🫶🏼

I own all four of the Reface Series, but the CP is the only one i don‘t like. The main problem with it is the velocity curve. It is always to soft. I have to batter the keys to get a normal sounding Rhodes Sound out of it. I have never found a solution for that.

this after noon, i'm tryimg out my ODYSSEY FS in combination with my brand nu T-REX BINSON ECHOREC (dubwise, using the mixer for fb with internal setting switched to wet only). Maaan i'm in heaven. but just to say btw, i'm not far fopr starting my korg odyssey mod to get it to be semi modular (to work in combination with a ttsh/2600 witch when you check functions, is imo a better idea than using two 2600's...), once done i might share the technique and offer to do it for ppl...

@@JorbLovesGear easy bro, check the 2600, the check the switches on the ody; it's just like these were designed to be modded. i you go for the easy way you can just replace the sitches with jack slot, you might need to cut and drill an alluminium board to put over the wholes so it stays clean... there is a vid of a guy repairing, or at least opening the korg ody m kb, it's a easy as stealing a sucker to a baby if you can soler cables to spots properly... i have written more detaiols about this in recent yt comments on several channels these last days, ifg you check my comments here and there you should be able to get more details ans some argumentation on why (as i have a ttsh), imo, function wise, it's better to use a 2600 in combination with a modded ody than two 2600's. Once i've donew mine if you likwe the result i could do yours. in fact i'm pretty shure i will get extra work with thias idea, especially for the korg M's imo... yours is perfect you can put you jax in the front, i'm making an external box with a special connector, then i'll put it behing the ody fs witch is exactly the width of the ttsh, so i'm gonna make a nice instalatyion with jack row in front of me but with passing in front of controls... i'm working on a new channel project (well done not just to demo the stuff i desigm and sell), this project will defo be shownm there but if you want some info feel free to ask. a hakko suker might ber usefull if one goes fopr removiong the switches (that's tyhe easy way as no extra circuitry will need to be added)
