Hey, great video! Haven't found anything alike! I have one problem tho: I dissassembled it to fix the squeaking rumble motor. I had a second gamepad, for spare parts, that I used the motor of. Now it doesn't work with either gamepad. Can I fix this or do I have to live without feedback now?

I had my wii u since 2014 when i was 11, anyway, my gamepad rumble motors are pretty weak from me dropping the gamepad. Are the motors easily replaceable?

I have two Wii U's. Mine is in good impeccable condition but the ones I had gave my children they got it so dirty. I was going to take it apart but after watching this video I'm thinking I'm just going to send it to someone, it's way too much and I don't have the patience for it

HI! I know you don't have a lot of subscribers so I decided to subscribe. Thank you for making this video! I like to repair but I haven't learned the wii u yet. This is extremely helpful seeing as I have a few of these gamepads that need some attention. The pace of the video is great, lots of attention to detail! I also like the commentary! That's the best part! It's like having a buddy along to warn you of common fails and make sure you don't snap a ribbon cable or tiny hidden cord somewhere. Foreal, I appreciate all your recommendations and insights! Your explanations make me feel like I am actually learning something, not just following along. The tips and warnings and detailed explanations really do the trick for me! It's way better to watch you do all this work and explain it step by step versus following a quick guide that tries to be a bit more "entertaining." I'm sure I'll be watching your wii u console breakdown and clean video soon as well. Thanks in advance! Using Udpih recovery menu I figured out I likely have some fuses to replace or bridge. I hope over time you get lots of views on this video, you deserve it! Take care! P.S. I think the wii u is a very fun, interesting, useful console, it's so awesome haha, way too little love for it, I missed it when it first released and came back to admire it post mortem. Hi, amazing video it is such a complicated console . In my case my WiiU got fried during a storm last month and I have been looking for Guide on how to fix it. I suppose I need to swap the power supply so I will buy probably a new block. Are there any tips you have for a guy that wants to start with cleaning and fixing consoles?

Yo I'm one of the few who cherished their WiiU consoles from release until gamepad failure. So did my wife, so did our kids. Switch is great, probably the GOAT for me, but the WiiU was special and it offers some unique experiences and there's something magical about fixing your original hardware rather than replacing it. Turns out the reason my touch screen stopped working on my gampad was that some tiny pieces of gravel had gotten in there somehow and this did the trick. Much appreciated, friend. Liked and subbed.

I've tried soldering gamecube joystick many times. Every time, the controller with the new sticks always drifts aggressively. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

38:41 the only mistake i found during the assembly process. Those rubber pieces go on the other plastic cover with the 45° mark looking down. That's because it needs to slide into the other plastic cover. The rest of the process is beyond perfect!

Nice video. Just so you'll know, the GameCube controller does not have a battery. That is a rumble motor. Also, I don't know how your controller ended up with 1 phillips screw. The GameCube controllers should be tri-wing screws on all 6. Still, all in all nice video.

Getting ready to do this with one I bought online. I think I'm going to start with the polish on the outside first, that way if some gets inside, I'll get it when I disassemble. Wasn't sure if that was an afterthought for you. Looked like some polish got into the vents.
