I love using pale vermilion for my under painting. It gives the most beautiful effect in my landscape just like this. I never thought of using acrylic paint. May I ask what kind of acrylic paint are you using? Beautiful work. Thank you.

Hi Bob. Glad I discovered your demo video. Im new to pastel and your style and effects are more like what Im trying to achieve. I live in Washington and evergreens/mountains/streams are a frequent theme of mine.

If your name popped up more often you would have so many more viewers. I have no idea how those things work but I’ve been searching through pastel painting for years and your name never popped up until 2023. I love your method of teaching and although I’ve heard these things many times before it didn’t hit home until now. You are a wonderful teacher and your work is fantastic.

I really enjoy your painting style, which is quite impressionistic and quick- stroked but also kind of your own individual mark-making. I particularly like the horizontal grass lines in the foreground and your freedom with color, which is very individual to you. It's refreshing to watch and fun to try. You really captured that lovely soft mist in the background that is typical to marshland.

Beautiful painting using a quite individual style of mark making. Very interesting textures made with relatively small marks. A pleasing and informative video. However, you missed my favorite shadow---the U-shaped shadow under the bridge that describes the shape of the ravine beneath!

Beautiful and such generous sharing of your method and technique. I did not speed it up. Every stroke of the brush and application of colour was mesmerising
