Have you got any idea how can I map different variations from different rack effects macros to tha same button at a midi controller or a foot switch for a total effect reset? And first of all if this function exists. Thank you!

I'm enjoying the course, so far, but I've reached a hitch: I have Ableton Live 12 and Operator is not included. What can I use instead? I have a lot of external synths, including all the Reason 12 tools available. Regards, David

Another banger! What’s the difference between using the output of a compressor to raise the gain verses using a limiter (adjusting the gain)?
@Projektor_music27 күн бұрын
from a pure output gain there will not be a difference but the processing will be different... BTW this limiter does not feature output gain, only input gain, meaning you determine how the limiter acts on the signal actually changes when changing the gain...
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic27 күн бұрын
When you're purely applying gain there's no difference, but if you increase the gain to a point where it engages the processing then the limiter will act on the signal differently to how a compressor would. If you just want to turn something up, the gain on a utility will do just the same thing as the output gain on a compressor.

Hi, I think I like your channel. You have come up a few times in my searches and have done a great job of explaining things-- however, I get very distracted because (to me) it appears your vocal audio is not synced up with your video. Am I crazy or is it off by a bit? Is this intentional?

@CollectiveIntelligenceMusicАй бұрын
Hey mate, no unfortunately that's not possible currently. You would need to run multiple exports for varying lengths.

***In this video, I mention a hissing sound from the Trinnov Nova. After speaking with Trinnov, I have come to understand that this issue is not inherent to their units but was due to a setup error on my part. I apologize for any confusion and will ensure proper setup in any future product reviews - Andrew

I suggest you try them yourself! The T7V sounds like the mids are carved out. I returned them on day one. The HS7 are for more translatable for your mix. The mids are smooth and transparent.

@hambonetunes19882 ай бұрын
Not sure if you will see this since it's been so long, I re-watch this series from time to time! I have a question, your sub-bass, it seems like a lot of people recommend the sub-bass be in mono, I don't think you set serum to be mono, is this not something that is required these days or just not something you did for this song?
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusicАй бұрын
Hey! Anything under 150hz should be mono is a good rule of thumb. It's uncommon people will pan or stereo widen sub because bare great results for impact and definition.

Is it possible to configure each channel individually? Like having channel 1+2 Stereo and 3-6 as Subwoofer all playing at the same time. I'm looking to do something similar like the kybernetik lab with lambda labs qx3 speakers where I would need multiple left, right and subwoofer channels.
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic2 ай бұрын
Yep that's possible
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic2 ай бұрын
Curious to hear more about what you'd like to do with the studio
@_DerTypDa_2 ай бұрын
@@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic Thx for the quick answer! The Studio Im planing is for listening purposes only. The lambda labs qx3 System is the best system I heard till this day, the problem with it is that it consists of two sets, the qx3a and qx3b so you would need to have 2 left channels and 2 right channels while allso being able to set the low and high passes to drive it in it's smallest configuration. You would be able to do so with normal studio mixers of course but the price would increase drastically with that option. So i think that I use the trinnov nova as main audio processor, while also being able to use room correction which ultimately will cost less. (I could also ask kybernetik lab how they did it, looks pretty awesome)
