Imagine people walking by outside thinking someone is playing a recording of Fix You not knowing it's actually Chris Martin stepping in to inspire middle schoolers.

That 8th grader looks like he could be a very talented artist in a band one day and go on to play in the superbowl halftime show

At 14 we did a shot concert in our school. If we would had Chris Martin to sing I would had shit on my pants to play everything perfect 😅

does anyone know how this actually happened? like who was just like "Oh, you need another singer? I can hit you up with Chris Martin"
@chrissyblumenthal104222 күн бұрын
The kids organized it -- but it WAS a surprise for the audience. They approached Chris a few weeks prior (when they ran into him at his kid's play) - and they asked if he would like to perform with them. He could not have been cooler or more gracious. A true class act. It was for a pediatric cancer benefit concert that the kids (and some parents) helped organize.

Isn’t it time (yrs…) to ask “Gee, was all this really accidental”?” The intro verbiage is plainly scripted. Calm down, haters, I think the kids are great, but Chris was connected to this band beforehand. Maybe someone commented on this situation ,down 550 comments from here, I dunno, but I am growing queasy with the avalanche of comments assuming a state of magical serendipity - as if Chris “just happened by”. 😑
@alemobra5747Ай бұрын
no one thinks chris was just walking by, if you read the caption it actually says that chris "surprises THE CROWD" of course the band knew that he was gonna show up, whats why they did this whole bit at the start. The crowd didn't know!

The kids knew - it's called "entertainment" -- but the audience did NOT know. A true class act. It was for a pediatric cancer benefit concert that the kids (and some parents) helped organize.
