Hi there, yes this was a custom made intake from the mid 80’s made by k&d automotive. I’ll do a short vid showing it at some point. Bob fisher superchargers makes similar style intakes for boats. Cheers

Nice unit! If you take decent care of it, it should last a few generations. I know I'm a bit late to this party, but it may help you or someone else. When you light these, one common and understandable mistake is not opening the main valve "QUICKLY AT LEAST 2 FULL TURNS". I seems counter intuitive if you aren't familiar with how the instant lighting valves work. But they are designed to light cleanly with no flares or big yellow flames. The instructions, if followed to the letter, ensure clean blue startups. When you see the word "turns", that means complete 360 degree revolutions. If you follow this sequence you shouldn't see yellow flames and you'll be ready to cook in a minute or less. Lighting lever straight up to light Open pump knob 1 FULL turn and add at least 35 FULL strokes of the pump, 50 is better, over pressurizing is impossible with the built in pump, the tanks are built to withstand 500 psi. The pump maxes out at 40 psi. Hold the lighter to the burner and open the main valve quickly all the way, it will light instantly, Start adding more pumps. About 1 per second until it's warmed up or about a minute Leave the lighting lever up a full minute, or when you hear a change in the sound and the blue flames start lifting off the burner. THEN turn the lighting lever straight down Adjust the flame and start cooking. I recommend turning the burner to full blast for about 30 sec to a minute and flipping the lighting lever up to help purge the generator of liquid fuel before shutting down. This used to be the old manuals and it works well. It's good to remember that the tip cleaning/regulating needle is threaded directly into the main valve spindle. Closing the valve and opening it fully a few times will clear any little chucks of carbon that might clog the gas tip. Nursing the main valve doesn't atomize the fuel. It needs high flow and good pressure to start right. Thus plenty of pumps and opening the valve wide open quickly. If you don't, the generator will flood with liquid fuel in seconds and you get the big yellow flames. Try this, I think you'll be pleased with the results. You should be cooking in under a minute with blue flames all the way from light to shutdown.

Thank you so much for posting (sorry, I just found this). I have family history in Ararat. My Dad grew up there with his grandparents, who owned a local sawmill. I have visited and found their grave in the local cemetery. Along with my grandfather, who passed when my Dad was 4 years old, in a motorcycle accident. Aradale has always fascinated me , and I hope to visit one day. 😊

How sad even when new, let alone now. I cannot see that being repaired. It has suffered unbelievable heat. You would need to replace everything but it is s genuine HO then? I wouldn’t pay HO price for it. Also what value would it have with no ID plate to prove what it is? There would be so many aftermarket parts it couldn’t even be called a Ford. So sad. 😢
@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide

The heat is actually not as bad as you’d think looking at it, the roof was damaged by a loader on the farm which is worse than the heat caused. The roof off the one next to it will go on fine, its biggest drama is rust from sitting outside for over 40 years… anything is fixable with skill and truckloads of cash. Thanks for watching

That is in the section that was rebuilt into a prison in the late 90’s, it was built to be a high security section but from memory it mainly served as a women’s prison , later to be only used for training purposes by police and prison security I believe. So I dare say it’s a remnant from that era . Thanks for watching

WHY CAN'T THE GOVERNMEMT CHANGE IT AND USE IT AS A RECOVERY CENTRE FOR JUVENILES IREFERRED THERE FROM THE COURTS. WITH THE ON SITE FACILITIES OF MARKET GARDENS, ETC, THE JUVENILES CAN LEARN SKILLS WHICH WOULD MAKE THEM "JOB READY" WHEN THEIR TIME THERE IS OVER. Alternatively, why not modify it and make a place for the homeless, or as an age-care facility? C'mon Government public servants, where is your creativity?

Because in todays silly times that would be considered “wrong” by the vocal minority that seems to push their ideals on everyone else and a government that gives in them as they are only worried about the next election and their pay cheque not the future of the country.
