Why do people think they can enter others space and touch them, are you just stupid,. I quit spear fishing and snorkeling at the age of 15 after I went to spear a lobster and Morea eel came out of the cave, almost had a heart attack never seen a thing so ugly in my life, ive never used a mask since... don't touch,

Diver probably had bait on him. Notice the grouper hovering around as well. This looked like Florida and they do this showy fish feeding routine there a lot. They also have a lot of moray eel injuries. Florida, they will never get it.

They have reeeally sharp teeth to my knowledge. Straight up razors in their mouth. It definitely only looked like a warning nip though.

When I was 19, I went snorkeling in the Florida keys. I was checking out the coral reefs with my mom when suddenly she started freaking out, trying to get my attention. When she got it, she hurriedly signaled me to surface. Apparently, I was a bit too close to the reefs because a "giant moray eel had popped out of a hole and was gonna bite my head." I never saw the guy, sadly.

Eels are super friendly and they are like golden retrievers in which they can use their mouth to grab in this case MY MONEY IS IN PETTING they will wrap around you and hug you with their bodies and you can gently pet them with your hands. I bet that's what it wanted

That seemed to be more of a warning bite. In all honesty, the moray was quite tolerant of human presence. Please don’t feed or interact with wildlife ❤️
