Yes anchor wizard does hit seat. They make seat risers . Who wants to start ringing on a $1700 kayak witch should been work out before launch. The seat is lo kinda hard to store rods but doable. I'm 52 190 lbs 5ft8. After six hours fishing I have some problem getting up out of seat. Yes bolts come out of seat but that's easily fixed. Positive note handles fantastic. I live two miles near Tennessee river dam so I do a lot of paddling. Buffalo river, Creeks also. Not to heavy also. I bought wheel cart on Amazon for $60 great buy. Pro back I recommend is 13 x16 fits great . Transporting is very easy and all handles are well made. I may have to get seat risers though. I would purchase this kayak again no regrets. Also front nose on kayak does hold bank well. Do not feel like the kayak will tip over at any point stable but I don't stand much and fish. Go catch a big one lol.

I have the Vibe Shear Water 125 with the Hobie 180 drive, I'm 6'2" 260 lbs and a disabled vet and I can stand up on it no problems, I love the whole modular setup on it. It paddles very well, you can add the Bixpy to the rudder or where the peddle drive drops in, it has a dedicated electronics box that you can mount a transducer to the bottom of, as well as quite a few more features. I got it in 2020 when it was $1,200.00 for the kayak and another $600.00 for their version of the Hobie x-drive. Over all a very stable and changeable kayak to fit your needs. I agree with @tomearly111 that the blue sky isn't really a kayak but a small pontoon boat.

Well, Mr. "Pickle"... I can't quite call that Blue Sky a 'Yak..! Yes, it is stable, has lots of deck space, and can be motorized. (I AM glad you included it, though!). After having a Titan for over 6 years, I went with the new "X" model (the one you sold me in Feb.), as I think ya get more "Bang for the Buck", so to speak. The Hobie you mentioned, I can't stand up and fish on! It "flips out from under me", like the Catch 100...! Lol (I like jumping up and playing a big Bass when hooked, like I used to do on my Bass Boat --- I'm "SPOILED", I guess!). Haha! With most of those pedal 'Yaks you listed, you CAN stand and fish on. But I even paddle both of my Titans with a Paddle Board Paddle, to get to spots I might miss if I were seated. Nice "Round-Up" of different makes/models, and their amenities. Thanks for bringing those differences to our attention.

@thebeardedpaddler4 күн бұрын
100% Heat and direct sunlight alone will break down a thermoform kayak. We all get rash from gravel, river rocks, and boat ramp concrete. The thermoformed kayaks are much more prone to wearing through. Most of your quality brand rotomolds are quality checked to ensure uniformed thickness throughout. Great question

I fish, spearfish and hunt off a Bote Aero Rackham. It's very durable, easy to use and so far no issues. It's not fast but I usually don't travel too far - most trips are under 2-3 miles. And that's traveled using it in SUP form - excellent core workout. I've been really trying to fall in love with the Hobie PA14. But I'm really scared of that 360 drive and other quality issues. I've been trying to get more into offshore yak fishing, something that would be far beyond the capacity of the Rackham. I agree they've incrementally improved with the XR but I still have serious concerns. Alas enter the NuCanoe Unlimited and Bonafide PWR129. I haven't heard of catastrophic failures on those yaks. I get they are tradeoffs with any yak (wish the unlimited was faster, the PWR had a 360 swivel seat). Which of those measures up to or even exceeds the potential of offshore fishing capacity of the PA14 360?
