@@kotori87gaming89 oh it is the Viribus Unitis class. I was confused, cuz I read SMS and thought it was German, but couldn't think of a German three gun turret BB design. The other ones are Nassau/Helgoland and Colorado?

I'm genuinely interested in how this works! Is the hull destructible or is it some sort of a panel you hit and then the hull opens up ports below the waterline? Is it some sort of health bar to the ship? Critical hits allowed? One of the front turrets was loose, was that accidental or on purpuse? If it's intended to pop off, how does it pop off?

The ships are made out of like a thin wood so they are pretty destructible to a degree. The ships usually shoot a metal bb, the “objective” is to put as many holes into the hull so that the pumps can’t keep up with the flooding.

great questions! The hull is sheeted in balsa wood, so the bb cannons can punch through. Bilge pumps control the flooding until there's too much damage, then the ship sinks. So there's two "health bars". Your pumping capacity vs flooding rate, and your freeboard. Once the first is used up, the second determines how long until sinking. Critical hits are a regular occurrence, largely due to shipbuilders mistakes. Power switches shot off, dented barrels, etc. About as desirable as IRL, but it happens. The loose front turret is removable for reloading the cannon. It floated away because the builder hasn't secured it with a magnet or similar.

@@kotori87gaming89 Sounds like there's a decent amount of repairwork after an unsuccessful battle :) I've seen RC model battleships before, had no idea people did battle with the as well. Sometimes the algoritm finds some cool stuff ^^

@@Celciusify there's a decent amount of repair work after a successful battle too ;) we treat the balsa sides as consumables, and replace them 1-2 times per year. Otherwise it just takes silkspan (lightweight tissue) patches and a bit of glue over the holes, usually 15mins of repairs.

It is crazy how far I feel this could go for example if you had a private lake with Dr connected to the ships you could be in a safe place allowing much more dangerous ammunition I can also see planes being used in this I'm a big sugar rocket guy and you could totally attack a rocket engine to a rc plane awesome video I have been looking for something like this.

Hmmm...one refinement I might think would be using steam propulsion (most of these ships had SOME sort of boiler system whether the drive was verticle-compound engines or turbines later) so with too much flooding you lose propulsion...
