Thank you ကြေးအိုး is my favorite. You were probably not born when the ကြေးအိုး restaurant near the Rangoon General Hospital was in a scandal. Interesting times before internet.

@@ChanMyaeEi I watched this 5 times so that I can get infomation
It definitely looks good but is it safe to eat? Most of the people might think I’m talking about the cholesterols and the calories which are not healthy in excess amount. But this is far more dangerous and lethal and most of all, nobody thinks that it is the most harmful thing in foods selling everywhere in Yangon. It could be anything from the oil, preservatives and additives and etc. So make sure you know what you’re eating and what you’re selling. Be safe folks. I am not saying your food isn’t good. Thank you.

Well, just don’t eat it then. If we talk about food hygiene, there will be tons of facts to avoid all foods around the globe which are from international food chain to small street food. If you just so worried about it just avoid it all

At the corner of Aung Chan Tha Street and Kone Thae Street. It's near Aung Chan Tha Pagoda.
Reminds me of my mom's morning shopping trip at Be-Lu-Ma Zay when I was a kid. That wet market is no more @94th street, all the vendors are now selling on myan-ma-gon-yi area making a huge mess. Morning glory 300K a bunch such a bargain, we pay 3 to 5 USD per pound in winter, $2 a pound in summer. A bunch is about 2-2.5 pound more expensive than chicken. LOL We didn't have a fridge then so daily trip to be-lu-ma zay in the morning. Ah-mae zay (old location) 38th street zay and Dan Zay (china town) were the alternatives but be-lu-ma zay usually had everything we needed.

And we pay 10 USD per pound on Durian, that is for a previously frozen ones. Cheaper to fly to Singapore, Thailand or Malaysia. There was a Sing $1.95 each in Singapore a week ago and people lined up for blocks (on FB).

When I was a kid, there used to be a chinese lady (single mom) that ran a stall that served fried stuffed tofu and garlic noodle near that corner in front of post office in the evening. A family ran business, her kids helped her run it. She put them through medical school a few years later. :)
