Vex is an archer. She uses feathers to make the fletching of her arrows (the fins at the back end of an arrow that makes the arrow fly straight) so she presumably carries a lot of extra feathers.

At the beginning of episode 10, when they come back from the Fey Realm and they are about to enter the illusion covered Whitestone, Vex takes a blue feather from her pocket and puts it on behind her ear. She had more than one.

Obligatory RIP Lance Reddick. We see Kashaw unpetrify people, so assuming they'd restore Vax, knock him out... but apparently she didn't know Vax would be locked into the armor. No comments about how Janet Varney, voice of Avatar Korra, plays Keyleth's mom? Alanna Ubach did do the duet with Sam. Vex restores her feather on camera at the beginning of episode 10. No error. The gauntlets would theoretically grow to fit the dragon's "hands", and enhance their strength. And allow them to grow bigger. And Ripley's plan - or what she told Umbrasyl in an earlier episode - would be to arm followers with the vestiges. But Umbrasyl could have melted Vax with acid, leaving the armor left. What Ripley was really doing seemed to be to turn the Conclave against each other, which was working, and possibly to arm her own people with vestiges.

So, here we go. 1:06 Strongly disagree on Scanlan being a coward. He's being very reasonable here. And you know he's no coward, you've seen the Scanbo episode, you know he has balls. The conclave is just way above and beyond what he's capable of dealing with. Especially at this point of the story. But if you were excited about Scanlan's character arc, there's definitely something for you to look forward to in season 3. I like Scanlan's character because almost everyone finds him annoying at first and considers him just a comic relief, but he's responsible for some of the funniest, and most absurd, and most epic, and most hearbreaking moments in the entire story. And his voice actor is awesome, and yes, a really good singer. Though i don't know if that part of him didn't suffer, considering he beat throat cancer earlier this year, but the most important part is that he's okay and back in the fold, still playing and streaming dnd with his friends. Yes, Brimscythe was the smallest, the youngest and the weakest member of the Conclave. If i remember right he was an adult dragon. Dragons grow stronger with age, and in rough categories he was a few centuries old (adult blue dragon) while everyone else is over 800 years old (ancient dragons). Thordak is arguably a step beyond that in the hierarchy. 2:06 The show makes it seem like Zahra is the leader of the Slayer's Take (not counting the sphynx) and Kash is her right hand man, so he would be one of the people who would have to pay someone else for capturing/killing the twins. He wouldn't get anything out of killing them, so he didn't have a reason to kill them until he was sure they don't have money to pay off their debt. And as the following episodes show, he's not that bad of a guy, so there's that too. 5:04 The thread between the twins that the Matron of Ravens severed was their deeper connection. If you remember, when the Briarwoods attacked Vax in episode three, he said the "safe word", and Vex felt that he's in trouble and they need to hurry. But when they were at the mouth of Brymscythe's cave and Vax was getting his ass kicked inside, Keyleth says that Vex would've felt if something happened to her brother, to which Vex replies that she would, but for some reason she doesn't feel anything. This might also mean that their fates are no longer bound together. I also like that these threads of fate and raven symbology are extremely important to the story, even though they only come into play in season 2. And yet they are present in the opening ever sinse episode 2 of season 1, but you would understand it only if you've watched the original campaign or if you are rewatching season 1 after seeing season 2. 5:24 The plan's only major flaw that's really on Zahra is that she wouldn't have been able to put the demon back into the locket after Vox Machina members are petrified (btw yes, petrification here works the way you described, they are stone through and through). If that wasn't the problem, Kash would've just "unstonefied" Vax and together with Zahra they would've been able to handle him. Or that's what they thought because how would they know that Vax is getting a power-up or that he can't remove the armor. They don't know shit about the armor and its capabilities, they just know it's an ancient relic. Zahra doesn't even seem to believe it has some special powers. 7:46 Bro how many times did you watch these episodes to catch that? =) It's crazy. And yeah, it seems like it's the same voice line. 16:23 That's definitely an error. I checked, and she went through the portal from the Fey Realm in episode 8 without the feather, and quit the portal in the beginning of episode 10 with it. And it couldn't have been as simple as her finding a feather of some blue bird and replacing the old one, because it's not a bird feather, it's an owl-bear feather, and those are very difficult to come by. They either forgot or the scenes in later episodes were drawn earlier, and they just kept drawing her with the feather because it's a part of her character design. 16:52 Oh... that was unexpected, especially a few seconds after answering the question =) 16:57 A few options. Vestiges seem to be able to change their size. Dragons can polymorph into humanoids. Ripley menitioned the idea of creating humanoid champions serving the dragons and arming them with vestiges. There's also the fact that the vestiges on their own are just very powerful magical artifacts and someone skilled enough might be able to harvest their magic to become more powerful. All conclave members were shown to be able to use magic on some level, with Umbrasyl's invisibility, Vorugal's ability to see through illusions, Raishan dispelling "Scanlan's foot" and Thordak having a huge magical crystal in his chest that amplifies his powers. 17:06 The same they did to Umbrasyl? Thordak's bigger and stronger, and can tank more, but he can still be hurt by vestiges. Physically Grog was able to go toe-to-toe with Umbrasyl while being powered by the gauntlets, and lost because of his broken leg. So Umbrasyl with the gauntlets would be even stronger than Grog, and Grog was punching the shit out of the dragon. Keep in mind that when dragons take human forms, their physical "stats" remain the same, so if he did that, he would've looked like a human, was as strong, fast and durable as a dragon, and powered by the vestiges. 17:56 The Mythcarver gives him the ability to spy on any other artifact, which means they wouldn't be able to sneak up on him or try some trick like they did on Brimscythe with the illusion to distract him. It's a pretty useful advantage. But yes, he won't be able to use it at its full power because it's an artifact created specifically for a bard, which is why Scanlan was able to unlock its power and amplify it with his singing, which is the only reason he was able to kill the dragon. 18:22 He doesn't know that. Even the group doesn't know that. Only Vax knows, and Keyleth, because she heard him saying it. Also, it might even no longer be the case after Vax had a chat with the goddess and accepted her call, so she knows he's not gonna try to weasel out of his responsibilities. But it doesn't really matter. Magical artifacts, especially of this caliber, are borderline undestructable. So logically, Umbrasyl might be able to simply melt Vax out of the armor with his acid. Of course, Grog kinda breaks this rule with him snapping the cursed sword in half, but Grog breaks a lot of rules. Like him being absurdly resistant to acid (swimming in it in season 1 and taking a full blast of Umbrasyl's acid breath while they were in the air earlier in this episode). So... this is everything, i think. Ask away if you have more questions, i'll do my best. And keep in mind i'm fully expecting a similar video on season 3 when it comes out.

Right, i wanted to say something. Someone already mentioned a few things i wanted to say, so i'll just add to it. Sorry, turned out to be a lot of text. Those giants in Whitestone are undead. They are stupid, and don't have much of a perception, they are just a muscle and intimidation tool to patrol the streets in order to keep the remaining citizens scared at their homes. And there never was only one giant, you can see at least a few of them in episode 6 intro where they storm the resistance hideout. Azula's VA is awesome in real life btw. And no, you wouldn't think she's evil if you heard her voice irl. You'd think she's fun and crazy. Watch "Azula and Zuko field trip" short video on youtube. I like how they've set up that vampires in this setting don't have reflections in mirrors (first with Sylas and Delilah walking by a mirror in episode 3 with only Delilah having a reflection, implying he's a vampire even before he's revealed as one, and then with Vax worrying if he's turning into one because of the bite in episode 4, and his sister just nodding at his reflection in a window) and then show Cassandra's "death" scene from her POV with her looking in a mirror and seeing her reflection to let the viewer know it's not some kind of trick and that she wasn't turned into a vampire. They really did take their time before deciding to go directly after the guy who's controlling the armor sets, but to be fair, he was effortlessly sidestepping Percy's bullets. I don't think a bunch of arrows would've done anything to him. The DawnFather is one of the gods of the local pantheon. You can see him in Vax's vision in season 2 episode 4, the figure with the literal sun instead of a head. He's not the "God" god, he's just one of the "good" gods. Not that they're good, they're just doing their thing, like Pike's Everlight, The Matron of Ravens, The Knowing Mistress that the sphynx mentioned and so on. There are also bad gods, or the Betrayer Gods. And they are "Bad" bad. 42:23 - A neat detail about that. In the episode 3 intro when Percy wakes up from his nightmare, the first thing he does when he wakes up is touching his neck because of what Ripley did to him. He and Cassandra were tortured pretty badly. In episode 7 during the flashback when he tells how he came up with the gun you can see a close-up on their hands and neither of them has nails. Their hair turned white because of all the pain, stress and trauma, which is a thing. 49:07 - Rewatch the very beginning of the fight. The initial spell from Delilah blew him all the way down to the ground and knocked him out for the rest of the fight, because instead of dodging it he tried to hit it. Because it's Grog. Another good moment of foreshadowing - In episode 2 in Krieg's manor in the room with the portal you can see a rug with five dragons of different colors. And he was a member of the Chroma Conclave, an organization that consists of five multi-colored dragons. It's _very_ unlikely they're gonna cover how the group came together in the show as it's largely irrelevant for the story. But in addition to the other comment mentioning the comics about that, there are two videos you can watch here on youtube. One is a compilation of their individual character introductions, you can pick up a thing or two from there that you didn't know from the show. The other one is a retelling/summary of their adventures in between them coming together as a group and the beginning of the animated series. It's brief and without much detail but you'll see that they've been through quite a few things together, which explains that even though they tend to screw up early in the show if they fuck around, when they work together properly they are quite capable, skilled and experienced mercenaries. Plus you'll learn a few things like the origin of the scar on Grog's chest, and why Pike's hair are white even though in the flashback in season 2 where she finds and heals Grog they are black (well, it isn't actually explained in the show but you can figure out at which specific moment it happens, when something extremely bad happens to her). The introductions video is called "Critical Role C1E14 Character Bios". Ignore the part from 8:28 to 10:27, Critical Role parted ways with him early on because of his very questionable behavior and his character didn't make it to the animated series, and the fans just pretend he never existed. The adventure summary video is called "The Story of Vox Machina Fansub". They've changed a few things for the animated series and had to cut a lot of it out, especially their shenanigans in Emon, but overall it's semi-canon for the show. Btw they just dropped the release date of season 3 and their new opening.

There is no main god of gods in this setting, just different gods for different aspects with some occasional overlap. Love this series so much, hopefully we get season 3 some time soon!
