I'm sorry you feel like you're wearing a metaphorical shock collar, but you're not the only one. There's a reason they call it being in the closet, and a reason people have to be there so long sometimes. I really don't want to make you feel persecuted--but it's like there's no way not to, since you're expecting it. I pray, so hard, that your children are not gay or trans, because I know by experience that it's not a choice, that God doesn't change you even if you have been genuinely saved--and how deeply, truly painful it is to have family that disapproves. And I know you probably would be accepting if you could, but you're afraid you'll burn in hell if you are--right? Or that others will, because you approved of their sin. I've been where you're at, and it is torture--but so is knowing people like you disapprove, especially if you know and love some of them. And I'm sorry it makes you feel persecuted to tell you how much I've been hurt, even by people like you who try to be nice. I hope you find the freedom someday to just love people--to just love them. I have a feeling you would, if you knew you could. God bless.

My thought process was that in that very instance where Trevor killed Death there was a brief moment of absence of the very thing that devours said death. Those that were ended at said brief moment had no where to go, so back to the world of the living.

Hans WAS NOT the villain in Freaks. The trapeze girl and the strong man were. She pretended to fall in love with Hans to get him to marry her. After that the strong man would kill Hans. Then the plotters would live large on the money Hans had recently inherited. The things that happened to those two were justice. Way to go, missing the whole point? Are you one of those people that continues to believe that different/disabled = evil?

While the new Pennywise is definitely creepier, I think the original ‘80s version was more effective at being scary because of how believable he looked. It’s the Norman Bates effect, where you’re lulled into a false sense of security by their welcoming demeanor and appearance, only to then realize that you fallen for their deceptive lure and are now about to be killed. Most kids would look at the reboot Pennywise and go “Nope”.

The guy who made the haunted castle was one of the main characters in the Martin Scorsese film that I consider a piece of art, Hugo, from 2011. 1925's The Phantom of the Opera with Lon Chaney Sr will always be my definitive non-musical adaptation of the Gaston Larou novel. My other favorite is the 1989 Robert Englund version.

I never thought that. Not after "City of Stone I - IV" She is a tragic villain in the same vein as Darth Vader. She thinks she is in the right, even knowing what she is doing is wrong. Her treatment by humans made her hate them. Her plan within the castle with the Captain, the only one she could trust.....just went wrong. And it set into motion everything else. But she is also in the blame, same as Vader. Luckily, in the comics, she has come back "To the light" so to speak. So there is that.

So just a couple of corrections here. 1 Pinhead from the Hellraiser series wasnt introduced till the sequel Hellraiser 2. 2 Jason Voorhees wasnt the OG villian in Friday the 13th. It was his mother Pamela Voorhees with Jason appearing at the very end. 3 Jason's famous hockey mask wasnt until the 3 Friday the 13th that he wore the hockey mask as in the second Friday the 13th which is Jason's first movie as the villain he wore a sack bag over his head.

30's had a buttload of amzing horror. 'Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde' holds up really well. 'Island of Lost Souls' is a great adaptation of Dr Moreau (way better than the 90's Kilmer/Brando trainwreck), 'Svengali', 'Mad Love' with Peter Lorre is creepy as hell. 'Murder at Rue Morgue', 'Murders in the Zoo' is cheesy, but has some pretty wild effects/imagery. The original 'invisble Man', 'Cat and the Canary' is a cool old-timey horror/comedy. And of course the original 'Dracula', and especially 'Frankenstein', still hold up incredibly well. And I'm noy usually a huge fan of silent movies, but 1920's 'Cabinet of Caligari' is insane, and more "psychadelic" than any 60s or 70s movie I ever saw. And I have to recommend 'Bad Seed' from 1956, afaik first movie to do the "cute little girl as homocidal villain" thing. Really good movie . And I just saw an early 40s horror (also kinda with a "gangster movie" angle) 'The Face Behind the Mask' which is the coolest movie I saw in ages.

George Melies (i think its pronounced "Melly-eh"... But don't quote me on that) is the guy from the Scorsese movie 'Hugo'. According to that movie at least, he didn't show them in sideshow vending machines; He had a travelling tent-cinema. I've only seen a few of his shorts, but they're wild. Barely any "story", but a buttload of cool, old-timey DIY special effects. But he was an incredibly impressive guy, if 'Hugo' is anywhere close to accurate. Apparently he scratch-built his own, first movie camera, after seeing seeing another guy demonstrate one.

Actually, that Dog was possessed by the Beast himself literally either by 1. The Dog ate the Turtle and then the Beast found it and possessed the Dog's body to hunt the boys then when the Beast Dog puked out the Turtle, the Beast came out of the Dog's body Or 2. The Beast transformed himself into a turtle, the same turtle Greg stuck the Candy on then the Beatrice's Dog eat the turtle which is the Beast, who ended up possessing the Dog's body then when the Dog pukes the Beast (in turtle form), he's back to normal. Which explains why Aunty Whispers was possessed because those were regular Turtles. The Beast can possess both peoples and animals so while the Woodman was chopping Edelwood trees, the Beast possessed Anna's body as his vessel for awhile then she did expel him from her body through willpower. Both Adelaide and maybe Aunty Whispers were working for the Beast but Aunty Whispers was against the Beast like the Woodsman.

I recommend watching the movie Abigail, which is a loose remake/reimagining of the old Universal film Dracula’s daughter. The film visual lore that would make for great theories. Not to mention the ending has a scenario that I find a little too good to be true, and we should be concerned. Why, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched the film. Either way, it’s a fun ride, and a perfect film for an over analysis like you did for Coraline.

You know I am blind and I have autism and I live in Denmark. I absolutely love that movie. I pretty much love movies about humans and misunderstood creatures being friends because I don’t know why probably because a lot of people misunderstand me. I especially like to have it in Swedish with the Swedish audio Also my spirit guardian is a yeti named Elliot that came to me in a dream. I’m sorry for telling you this. My dad says I’m not allowed to share stuff like this with people. I apologize. It’s just that I’m very excited because you’re doing a video on one of the movies that usually makes me feel better when I’m not having a good time, please don’t give me any hate comments. I’m not too fond of those and I have had in the past with accidentally sharing that I have disabilities on a comment on a KZfaq video and people accusing me of faking it and because they believe that people who have autism should be in Hospice or in a medieval style dungeon or something like that that is not the case but anyways one thing I like about Susan is the fact that we have some of the same personality traits oversharing when we are excited yelling a lot when we’re excited a little bit, socially awkward if part of this comment looks weird it’s because I’m using Dictation also referred to commonly as speech to text this is because I use voiceover the only thing I don’t like about this movie is that they turned the yetis evil that doesn’t really sit with me very well, but this is actually the movie that showed me that yetis and Sasquatch are related and made me convinced enough to watch another movie from the 80s called Harry and the Hendersons and if you have never watched Harry and the Hendersons, I highly recommend it for you if you can find it on any streaming services

Really enjoyed this video! If you love horror movies, you should watch Asian cinema because Ringu, the inspiration for The Ring, is much scarier by comparison. There's other American horror films inspired by Asian films. Other foreign films also deserve a shout-out, like Let The Right One In. You'll see interesting takes on what is considered horrifying in other countries and cultures.
@TheFangirlWatches6 күн бұрын
I can't remember if it was Ringu or the original Grudge where they thought the mom was hurting one of the girls, but it was the sister, and then mom looks through a peep hole and a giant needle starts rushing towards her eye. That scared the heck out of me! And I think it was the 2nd Ringu where Samara's spirit became the woman's unborn baby - so creepy! There was one about cell phones too that they remade in the US and it was so bad in English. So, yeah, you're very right, movies like Audition are horrifying, and Let the Right One In is also chilling, there IS a LOT of good foreign cinema, but they unfortunately don't make that final leap into branding in a lot of cases. Like, Abby and Asami would not be recognizable as a cosplay, which is why I left a lot of foreign films out.
