Do you have techstream? Setting the correct neutral pressures by cranking the torsion bars and changing the rear springs or adding coil spacers makes the ride and longevity of the spheres better.
@landcruiserscotland
@landcruiserscotland 24 күн бұрын
Yeah pressures were perfect on techstream with big rear springs and correctly torsioned bars. Just age killing the spheres I think

Mate, always good to see another mighty 1Hdfte. Even if the Euro model has some ad on accessories. Worthy to note, if the rocker cover hasn’t been off for a while, it can be a bit of a pain. Make sure you get the very rear bolt out too, then a few taps with a dead blow hammer on all around the sides should break the seal. Valve clearances should be done every 10,000km best practise, but I have pushed mine out to 20, 000km without issue. Also, change the rocker cover gasket each time. The rubber compound breaks down over time and heat. Best cruiser ever! Cheers, Matt 03 Sahara Aust.

I feel your pain. Have you got any tips for someone who's finally got the same one, after being on back order for 6months. I had a quick look, and removed my old intercooler but couldn't see how it would fit so put it all back together to have a better look when the cars not in constant use {hence me buying this and a 3" exhaust in the middle of winter, when the car isn't used every day}. A lC specialist has told me you need to straighten the pipe coming off the bottom of the gearbox cooler and it should fit in front .I can't see it myself though. Did you use the supplied brackets? I wish you'd shown us all how to fit this, or not.

Hi mate. It’s probably the most common mod here in Australia with a HDJ100 - to put a 3 inch exhaust on the car. It does help it breathe a bit better and gives a small improvment. Some keep the muffler, but some people just have a entire straight through exhaust - which is usually super loud.

So I ended up buying and installing a G900 on my 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge here in the US. So, driver on left side. I kind of had the same issue with where the front camera pointed. But there is a leap of faith moment you have to get to. Abandon the idea of using the mirror in "manual" mode. I use my rear facing camera exclusively now instead of just the glass mirror. I bought the G900 to use the rear camera to eliminate blind spots and it has worked wonders. What I ended up doing with the front facing camera was adjust the mirror so it had the correct field of view I was after. And ignoring that the mirror adjustment would no longer work manually since I use the rear cam all the time now anyways.
@landcruiserscotland
@landcruiserscotland 2 ай бұрын
Well I'm glad that worked out for you, but that's a shame that you had to abandon the factory mirror due to poor design. Especially since you're in left hand drive car! Sadly my land crusher is too old for a rear view camera 😂

Been considering a full turbo back 3inch system. Pretty much straight pipe but have no idea how loud that would be. Being a turbo shouldn't be deafening. Was considering a decat as a tester but thinking now you have bitten the bullet it's not worth it and may go down the full system route...the only question is to resonate or not to resonate
