Anyone have any suggestions or insight into local card shops? I'm new to the hobby and found a LCS near me but was curious if anyone had insight to decide whether they were a reputable shop or a place to avoid.

And has anyone seen any judge base or XFractors in the monster boxes? Ive probably seen 60 or so ripped so far, no aaron judges. Edit, just saw KC pull 2 judge XFractors.

Im currently 0-4 with monsters in hitting RC boxes. I also went 0-2 on jumbos and 0-2 on hobbies. If you recall hobbies and jumbos were the same way with the refractor coalition. So $1,500 into chrome product, i have like 7 rookie none numbered parallels out of a the roughly 120 ive pulled. Not to mention i hit none of the 15 top respectable rookies on any of my autos and hit nearly all base autos worth 3 bucks. Topps is definitely making trying to make me a buyer for life.

There are 113 rookies out of the 300 the card checklist. That’s approximately 37.7% rookies. A random distribution should yield on average 3-4 x-fractor rookies per monster box (37-38 in 10 monster boxes). The extra 80 cards added to the checklist this year really decreases the odds for pulling top rookies.

There should be at least 3 per Mega. Statistically. 0 should be an aberration, not a common occurrence. I only bought 2, but went 0 for 20. At that pricing, I'm finding it very hard to even consider another box. This rip doesn't instill more confidence. The best card I got, the best card, was a Soto Xfractor. Nothing numbered. No top rookie. Just a waste of 130 bucks. Seeing people get 10 out of 10 out of multiple boxes just rubs salt in the wound, as that also should not be a common occurrence, certainly not common enough to pop up in multiple videos as the 0fers have.

We’ve ripped a ton of chrome since it came out but unfortunately it’s all been pretty lackluster.

I bought two of these at Barnes other day but after seeing this video and the lack of QC, I think I'll just add them to my sealed wax stash. I already pulled an SSP Elly Chrome variation out of a blaster and sold it. I'd rather use the money towards a PC guy like Kobe. Legends over hyped new players. Thanks for sharing Josh
