These majestic, incredibly intelligent creatures are forced to perform for food to humans, how greed can lead humans to do such a horrible act😢 My heart bleeds for loneliest orca kiska died in Marin land Canada, and famous Tillikum who killed 3 trainer after suffering with psychosis in captivity. Glad orca breeding n shows are banned in North America now! 🙏🏽💕

As of January 2024, 18 orcas live in captivity at SeaWorld parks in San Diego, San Antonio, and Orlando, Florida. This is the last generation of killer whales at the parks, as SeaWorld announced in 2016 that it would end its orca breeding program.

The hypocrisy of the show is disgusting - music talks about the beauty of nature and animals while they are holding these very animals captive in bathtubs, separating calves from their mothers, interfering with nature and murdering its beauty.

There are wild orcas with bent dorsal fins. Search Port and Starboard. The dorsal fin is made of cartilage, not bone or muscle. It is not an emotion meter.

@CATSWITHKYLA
@CATSWITHKYLA Ай бұрын
@@tessdurberville711No. There are lots of reasons why this happens and it's because of the tanks ........................... Gravity: Gravity acts on the fin's fibrous connective tissue Lack of movement: Insufficient movement affects the tissue structure. Cartilage breakdown: Long exposure to warm air can break down cartilage. Unidirectional swimming: Swimming in small, shallow circles in one direction. Lack of diving: Tanks are too shallow for diving. Less fin support: Spending a lot of time at the water's surface and not swimming far. Repetitive circular swimming: Orcas often swim in a repetitive circular pattern. Lack of abeyant pressure: Tanks aren't deep enough for the even pressure on both sides of the fin. Irreversible structural change: Over time, the fin's collagen may undergo an irreversible structural change. Breakdown of collagen-backbone fibers: The collagen-backbone fibers of the dorsal fin may break down in response to environmental stressors. One-sided pressure: Captive orcas have to constantly turn due to the shape of the tank, which puts more pressure on one side of the fin than the other. Loss of structural integrity: Also known as LSI, this may be due to lack of water depth, boredom, and over-exposure to the sun. Speed: Captive whales don't have enough space to reach the speeds of 3 to 4 mph in the wild, which can keep the fin strong and upright. According to Whale & Dolphin Conservation USA, 1% of wild orcas have collapsed dorsal fins.

beautiful show!, but I hope that these killer whales are very well taken care of. yet as a wildlife photographer I prefer to see them in nature where they belong!. and if I were tempted to see this, I would pay €100 to see these best up close. but!,, they shouldn't be in a swimming pool!. and I hope that they were also born there. I still want to say that we should take good care of wildlife to show our future children what beautiful things there are to see on this earth. and hope that our children will do things differently, to show people how beautiful and respect our nature is. Greetings from the Netherlands, and God bless you!😊💯👍✌✌

My heart breaks for these BEAUTIFUL WHALES!!!!! Has Sea World learned NOTHING???? Dawn was killed by Tillikum not because he is a Orka but because he had been starved!!!!!!!!! They are kept in a tiny pool at night!!! Since females are dominant in the wild they are dominant in CAPTIVITY AS WELL!!!!!! Tilly would be tooth raked from fin to fin then deprived of food if he missed a trainer cue,!!!!!!!! THAT IS WHY DAWN DIED!!!!!!! WAKE UP SEA WORLD!!!! YOU ARE CRUEL YOU TAKE CALF'S FROM THEIR MOTHER'S KNOWING FULL WELL THEY SPEND THEIR ENTIRE LIFE TOGETHER IN THE WILD!!!!!! JUST BECAUSE YOU HOLD THEM CAPTIVE THEY DO NOT CHANGE!!!!!! I BEG THE PUBLIC TO NOT SPEND ONE PENNY AT SEA WORLD!!!! IF YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!!! REST IN PEACE DAWN❤

ORCA. Dawn was killed because she teased and taunted Tillikum and then laid down on the slide out, in the water, after she and everyone else who worked there, were forbidden to get into the water with him. Dawn thought she was exempt from that rule. She learned the hard way. Tillikum never harmed another trainer at SeaWorld, before or after, that day. It was personal.

Watching this, it seems like they aren't that dangerous and have a good character. The way the trainers have encouraged them to dive and throw the trainers around, and carelessly STAND on their backs and bellies, it's amazing there isn't a drowned trainer every show. Right? The fact that disobedient or attacking whales only happens once in a blue moon is testament to the whales good character and intelligence. Crazy though the amount of time they spend in a tiny tank waiting to perform.
