Some of these actually made a lot of sense, but others are so typically stupid they absolutely had to have been written by an American.

As a Japanese, I took everything in this video as granted, but we have to know that it's not... Thank you for liking Japan and let others know how beautiful our country is.

Actually, the "monkey will throw feces" sign might have solved a real problem for NASA when they were using them in the pre-Mercury space program. Efforts to dissuade visiting dignitaries who insisted on seeing them resulted in some very undignified encounters. So while the sign is clearly odd...if you see it, put your gear in reverse!

To far too many people, these signs are threatening. 🕊️

After some years on a job most of us fall into a rut and the job becomes a real drag. I THINK, everyone should quit & find a new job every 10 years. Better if that new position is a totally different line of work to keep our interest to maintain our drive to suceed. ALSO, all the Fk ups you did at your last job will not follow you to your new place. You will start with a clean slate. !

In Germany we have a notice period of three months, or six months if you have been employed for a longer period of time (for both sides, the company and the employee). This is intended primarily to protect employees from financial hardship following termination. If you have a family and kids, this is very helpful. The only downside is that you can't cancel immediately if you get annoyed.😅

I had a young lady working for me and when she finished up on good terms she wrote her name everywhere she could that it didn't matter. Under bences, in the power box etc. So funny to find somewhere else she wrote her name. She left 6 years ago.

The place I worked at wasn't known for being fair when it came to resigning employees. If you announced your 2-week notice, they would come in, go through everything in your desks, gather your personal stuff and march you to the door. Employees got wise to this and would take their stuff home secretly over a few days before they were leaving and then not show up the following day, only saying goodbye to their close friends.

People who are into Japan think it's a paradise. I lived there and I don't quite agree. So much is so interesting and enjoyable, esp as a tourist, but it's a hard life for adults under retirement age. All these pristine trains, roads and human services, they cost the taxpayer so much. A lot of Japanese are poorer than you expect.

1.) I’ve never given two weeks notice. Most employers don’t deserve it. The one time I did, was to an employer that treated his employees incredibly well and I gave him over a month. I wish I could’ve worked for those people forever. 2.) a superintendent once told me I wasn’t a team player. I told him that every time I played on his team I either lost or was injured. He became apoplectic, then tried to give me a written discipline but the Union AND company HR put a stop to that.

I just walked out and didnt tell any one. They had a 3 foot tall speaker blasting out BOOM BOOM DOOF DOOF music in the workshop. I asked several people and the boss if it could be lower volume. they just turned it up instead. after 5 weeks and when they were rushed with a special commision and short staffed, I just walked at lunch break. Wish i could have seen the fall out.

Should have threatened him with a lawsuit in a few years once it's been proven that your hearing loss has been detrimentally caused by the loud noise without protection or reason from this place of employment. They could also have been fined under workplace safe environment safety bodies.

Last week I learned that it is not okay to shout *HOORAY!* when you hear that a coworker quit. Even if most coworkers agree with you. Not even if the location manager agrees with you. Well 😛 their loss; would have gone and bought a cake otherwise (got a Danish).

I worked at a plastic factory and hated every second of it . They put me on the machine that made sleds , about 8 ft tall , I'm 5ft 1" , and the arse hole boss cranked it it up to where a sled was coming out every 45 seconds . We were supposed to pull the sled down , trim it and stack it . We got a call to go to the back to help unload the trucks that just came in , everyone shut their machine off and went to the back . I , on the other hand left my machine on , sleds still rolling out , walked the other direction out into the parking lot and got into my car and left . I didn't say one word ! I went back later to collect my final pay and they asked why I left and I gave them an ear full .

On my previous job i worked 6 weeks of overtime before Christmas on the promise I'd be given Boxing Day off. They lied and made me work still but i couldn't afford to leave at that time. 2 years later i walked out without explanation once i could afford to leave. I received numerous calls from HR asking how they could work with me to come back so i just told them i don't believe anything they say and won't be coming back.

Makes me love my job more. Great pay. Level headed owner who listens to us. We get regular bonuses and praise. Or company holiday parties are epic with lots of $$ spent on epic adventures. The job is incredibly demanding but the boss realizes that and treats us like valued human beings. That is a great formula.
