you actually don't need a controller for any ninja techniques aside from precise throttle control. (unless you have a special analog keyboard, which gives variable throttle like a controller.) controller is just the more intuitive option, it has a more comfortable learning curve than keyboard. but the fact that both have learning curves means you can keep improving whether you use controller or keyboard.

Fender Grab*. Yea its a fun technique that opens up a lot of opportunity on tracks.

For an experienced rider, it can be difficult to evaluate the skill level of many techniques. But I do think the fender grab is the most basic one. And yea stationary bunny hop takes weeks or even months to get good at.
