The Gallardo was clearly WAY OVER his budget and that's why he sold it. He went from a 100k gallardo to a 22k porsche so it was clearly too expensive. He should buy a Toyota corolla

What I learned from his story is timing a little luck and covid. No real bills in school, got a great deal on M5, covid inflation in effect then sells M5 for a good profit. Then finds an incredible deal on a R8 that guy was trading in to the dealer so he obviously got a steal. Then the covid R8 market was in full effect ( still is ) and he sells it to make another LARGE profit then finds another unreal almost scam deal on craigslist for the Lambo. Keeps that for 4 months and makes another profit after repairs i would assume then buys the cayman. Now the Porsche market is more of a cult market where not a drastic amount of logic goes into whats worth value or not. So im sure the cayman is up a bunch i value since kept it. Now this might sound negaavtice but its just an unreal time in life that worked well with his current tuming in life. BUT keep in mind that most people in college would of not saved a pennt even if they didnt have college debt and thats what makes this story where it is today as well. Cant buy a car with no money and he did that will discipline and a goal! Cheers

I miss the heck out of this car, and truly wish I’d kept it.

One question, why would you let your oil level get so low in the first place? It takes 10 seconds to check the oil level when you have the electric read out in front of you. As long as your car is warmed up and level you have more than enough time to check it whilst waiting at some traffic lights...

After college did you move back in with your parents for a bit to save $? Did you buy a place right out of school? Real estate investing > buying cool cars?

After college I lived in Texas for 1 yr and had a cheap apartment for $1k a month, then I moved back to PA and rented a room from a friend for $500 a month for another two years or so. That was back before the real estate boom ruined the market for everything. That was the time I was heavily buying/selling cars because I had so much spare $$ to play with! Hi Chris, when I enter my my make model and year on Mobil's website it is telling me to use "Mobil 1™ FS 5W-30". In the video, you use 0W-40. Any reason why you chose that oil? I have a 6-cylinder 2011 E90 328i xDrive Sedan. Thanks.
@sgfreak96
@sgfreak96 5 ай бұрын
Hey what’s up Vishal, you can use 5w-30 or 0w-40 like I did. 0w-40 is a thicker oil and my engine was high mileage so I wanted to try it out as I read a lot of other BMW owners used it as well. You can find more out about the differences between the two types of oil online - I’m probably not the best to explain it and I certainly don’t want to mislead you lol. 0w-40 is safe to use though for your 328.
