God the joker is like a symbol on this... The way he just tries so hard to make batman lose control and kill him just so batman can keep killing villains is amazing.

I'm heavily workshopping a chaotic evil character, it's a little reassuring to hear someone else dive a little deep into how that type can still be smart, collective planner and not *completely* random acts for random sake. The biggest roadblock and feedback when developing and explaining the full planned path in concept is usually "How can they be so collected and organized if they're so crazed/chaotic." Don't get me wrong, there's still plenty plenty left to flesh out and make it work, but glad to hear someone else put into words the concept in a way I failed to.

Eren(Aaron) is a bit of an Oedipus, who is an aspect of Jesus. I guess Jesus is 10 on all scales. Ripping of Christianity/Jesus is general good for a story. AOT can be viewed as a try to resolve Christianity from a Japanese perspective. In a very real sense Humanity has forgotten it's origin and blood sacrifices are the only way to return to the point of departure. Might it be war or ritual, blood is always involved. In AOT no one can clear away sins, that is correct, for the only one who can is Jesus/God. He stops the cycle of violence and the Giants/Fallen Angels for good.

Erin should have been the best tragic and genius character in media, so I found it disappointing when Isayama added his dumb crying child monologue at the end in order to discourage fans from still liking him after committing genocide. Such a bad sabotage of this character by the creator.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Bittersweet endings are the best kind of endings in my opinion and I must say they executed it very well. The open-endedness of the very last scene where the boy walks towards the tree also gave me chills. What are your thoughts on it?
@LeU-lo2zd
@LeU-lo2zd Ай бұрын
@@PlotPoints_ Yes I found the ending incredible, it shows the eternal cycle that is life, everything is doomed to start again, war, peace, love, hatred, resentment, forgiveness, everything coexists and alternates indefinitely, and the cycle begins again... with this boy entering the tree. As long as there is life, there will be suffering, but as long as there is life, there will be happiness. War is in the nature of man, peace does not last, destruction and creation are the only constants in the universe. This is the message of Attack on Titan. But is life in vain? But isn't life worth living? This is what Sieg and Armin are talking about. When Armin takes the leaf, he thinks back to the carefree moments of happiness spent with Eren and Mikasa, like when he was running behind the tree last... these are the moments that make up the meaning of a man's life. And it is in the hope of one day reliving this happiness that Armin lives. Because a single ray of light can lighten the darkest night. So no matter how many times you have to fight for your freedom, Eren, you can raise the knife. Because you refuse to lose without a fight. Because without fight there is no victory. And it was in the hope of seeing this horizon of freedom that he always continued to move forward, until the rumbling... But Eren had not realized that from the beginning, he was already free. Because all men are born free and special, as his mother said "he has already accomplished so much by giving us the joy of coming into the world" and his father "Eren, you are free", his freedom was always there, before his eyes. This is the symbol of the sea shell that Armin is holding. He was at the hunter's feet all this time, but he was still looking into the distance, towards this beautiful landscape. Armin understood this when he picked up this sea shell. He understood that at that moment, he was happy. And that was enough for him. Finally, it is through the bird which escapes from its cage, and spreads its wings in a world decidedly too small for it, that Eren Jager is finally free. Fly, and fly far. Beyond this cruel world. But as Mikasa said... this world is cruel, but it is beautiful at the same time. “Fight”, “Fight”, “without fight there is no victory”, these words still resonate in my head. Eren, thank you for this scarf. Because while Eren wanted Mikasa to throw away the scarf because he thought she was chained, he did not realize that he had then given her the greatest gift. He had set him free. The scarf is the symbol of Mikasa's freedom, Eren offers him what he could never have. Mikasa is grateful for these past moments of happiness, with Eren, that's why the world is beautiful. And a single moment at his side would be worth an eternity in hell. So I elaborated a little on the trio there, but I'm waiting for your response.
