How much compression you running on this one? Sounds like your other builds, which is a good thing! Do you set your squish @0.030” or tighter?

RE Engineering does have a bunch of custom grind camshafts. We swapped out his for another cam It's was a 550 lift from Jim's performance Hard to find those but was able to buy one for this build.

Some folks struggle with the HP numbers, I don’t! My big question is 11:1 compression with the early closing of the 474 cam (34*) yields around a 10.4:1 corrected CR which should require race fuel. My research shows 9.7:1 CCR is as high as one should go on 93 pump gas.... I know you could retard timing if you encountered detonation, but that would be taxed with a power loss. What is the story here...?

This build was done sometime ago. While detonation plays a factor so does setting up proper squish band. The larger then combustion chamber more turbulence. Can not remember the ccs of head but piston was a zero deck. Also keep in mind these have 2 spark plugs which aid in combustion. Also when this was tuned loaded drum to minupulate steep hills and 2 up riding and other factors. Fuel was also added and timming taken out. It's not easy alot of time goes into a proper tune. I am not an easy person to impress, but this bad boy right here may be the best sounding bike on KZfaq! It sounds like a drag bike! That exhaust note is strong and crispy af!!! You did a great job on this setup!

I really appreciate the video. I just applied what I learned to my bike with one exception... I couldn't locate the 5/16"-18*1-3/4" bolts locally. So I went with 5/16"-18*2" bolts and found that I was able to go the extra length without protruding through to the fender. So like you, and for the cost of 4-spacers, 4-bolts and the washers that I already had in my little bins, I was able to install the 4-point docking station and aim the mini rocket launchers more appropriately towards the car behind me.

Now for people like me who are mechanically dumb and are unsure of exactly what you did. Any chance of a step by step. I can follow directions but not a figure it out kinda guy.

Undo the 4 torx bolts that hold the shock resivors. Pull out the mounts Put in place the docking hardware Install the 3/4" spacers where the torxs bolts came out. Put the shock resivor mount on top of those spacers outside the fender strut. Install 1 washer and 1 1/2" Allen head bolt each side yes the rear will have a counter sunk area Install small washer on both locations and tighten.. All done
