The element Boron is toxic to fungi. Two sources of Boron are Borax (Sodium Borate) and Boric Acid. Borax is a laundry water softener sold in supermarkets and Boric Acid is used in eye drops and sold over-the-counter in drug stores. Used prudently, neither is dangerous to rational humans. I would try adding a teaspoon of Boric Acid to your molasses brew - it is a very weak acid and won't contribute to the rust removal, but it should keep the mold away. Frankly, a better idea is to pour a layer of cheap vegetable oil to completely cover the surface. That excludes oxygen from the molasses soup, BUT you might find some kind of anaerobic bacteria that don't like oxygen growing instead. signed, - a chemistry nerd

I've been soaking some tools for over 12 months now. I started with vinegar/water mix and then added citric acid a couple of months ago. I'll take them out and clean them and see what I've got left. 😁😁 BTW, I've got a footballer's neck too, I do just fine...

I'm on the same journey with my Silverado... just tackling 1 repair at a time 😮💨 but I know once it is all completed...I will be much happier and satisfied than some dude purchasing a brand New Silverado from the dealership.

All that hard work and I fear that paint's condition now. It never stays on because the water in and out of those wood fibers will never give it a chance.

Wow, I think first woodworking video I like. I have a jigsaw mounted upside down, for some years now, but not what I need right now. I was looking for a jigsaw jig to hold a 2X4 while I cut it lengthwise. Your rig Is not what I was looking for, but has loads of ideas for me. My final rig will not be much like yours, but you gave me enough inspiration so it will answer all my needs. I did subscribe also. Look forward to other things that may inspire me, or will at least interest me. Great idea. Thanks.

It can be simple depending on where you live... In the north east in Maine I get a shackle, torch, new bolts and a new bushing for the leaf. Removing the leaf from the Drivers side is actually pretty easy if you get another bolt ahead of time. Sawsall the head off the front eye bolt and pull it out with the gas tank unmoved. Then just put the bolt in backwards.

Looks like you can make a nice charcoal grill or smoker out of the water tank

I have redone the decks on each of my last 3 homes and cant think of a time when I didn't regret the stain I chose. Every stain seems to make the the wood look orange, red, or yellow. If you try to pick a sealant that is clear so you can get that beautiful natural wet wood look, there is no UV protection and the wood tarnishes extremely quickly. Very frustrating!

Good to know this! Just can’t win on stain, so don’t fret too long trying…

I have gone through literally tons of table saw out feed table videos, and this is the first one that has had a motor that sticks out the back of the table saw like mine. The rest have been cabinet saws or bench top table saws that have the motors inside. In fact, modern day contractor saws all have the motor's inside the casing rather than the old style of outside the casing. This presents a unique scenario where you must accommodate not only for the motor sticking out the back, but also for the motor tilting to achieve angled cuts. My approach is to build a 10" book case style base that covers the motor. And an extension that swings up with legs. This will give me a significant amount of out feed table when needed. And a small footprint when not in use.

I'm going to be doing some frame repair on a old 2 place trailer for snowmobile with little 8 in tires.. It's so old that I can only fir one modern snowmobile on it. My question is what setting would be good? I'm having problems with splatter and welding wire to the tip shut. I'm the beginner but the expert uses it too and we have to fiddle with it more to get it to work

I have a John Deere 185. I had a no spark no start problem. It was the $100.00 plus igniter part from John Deere dealer. Cause of the igniter failure was JUMP STARTING the tractor. Only attempt starting this model of tractor with a fully charged battery.

Thanks for the video!! I really wondered if jb weld was tried by someone. I know that there is a design problem with these transfer cases and often wondered if jb weld could work in a pinch. One recommendation that I would try is using some metal window screen acting like micro rebar in the jb weld. My plan is to prevent with a case saver at some point. I’ll be keeping an eye out for a leak until I get around to it. At 170k on 03 silverado. Plan is to take care of it when transmission blows!
