It’s a rotating horizontal siren turned into a vertical one because the rotator was crap.

Many moons ago I would to go to school/hospital out there (I lived in South Huntington---RIP Huntington Manor's two Sterling M-10's---in those days)...And in more recent years I visited a friend in PJ Station more than once. That said, I distinctly recall hearing this siren at quite a lower pitch than now...Quite audible from St. Charles Hospital, I would note. Would you happen to know if they refurbished her or replaced her outright? And BTW yes; I said "her". :) :)

If it was fixed it would sound like Silverstreet’s siren with a slower speed judging that its broken flashers performs this as a lo tone, it comes to conclude this would sound like Silverstreet
