Nice video, i had a quick go in almost exactly the same set up at a harvest event in 2018. Im sure the baler was an Allis 707 and the ED40 had a cab. It was a lovely vintage working event. Days like that always go so quickly. Hopefully we can start having them again one day.

@Ian Hotson The heel of my boot fits perfectly over the clutch on my Ferguson, the only way it could slip is to the side but that's easily overcome by not pushing your foot to the side.. I think this is a case of an older man who doesn't have the feeling or fine control needed to operate it smoothly under pressure

It’s not horsepower that matters what really matters here is torque also too much resistance from the plows it would just spin the tires plus too much work and strain put on a gearbox or engine can break it

I've always liked the old Fergusons... my Grandfather had a couple of them- though I thought they were somewhat squat and comical compared to our tall Farmalls!

Nice machine. A major seller in the excellent MF 100 series . We had a 35 and 65 , then joined by a 178 , later the 65 was replaced by a 185. All were excellent machines with Perkins diesel engines.

THANK YOU for a heartwarming video from this 52 year old farmer off the farm. I so desperately want to bale hay again. It'll never be the same without my wonderful Dad being there, but a farmboy needs to be close to the land.
