I don't think it is a choice sometimes it starts at an early age, but most of the time it is the powers that be in government which should be limited. Empowerment is very important...now we know that all of us are equal in our desire to live our lives to the fullest. Health Care has been transformed into research and the care in health care has been eliminated. Care in this sense is "caring for someone when they cannot care for themselves. Also Drugs are not our first choice and there appears to be a misconception here too. Drugs come from the pharmacies and made available to people through doctors. If the drug was not made available, nobody would be doing them. 😢 Absent drugs and curing the actual disease is to face things head on. Feeling the pain we experience is very important and naturally we will heal...this takes time. 😢 When we bury feelings and don't address the problems they snowball. There is treatment for addiction. I have experienced the right treatment in Long Beach at the community hospital....the last step is to never go back to those dangerous places, eventually boredom can set in and we relapse. Also to lose something more important to you will redirect our desire and our search for that will redirect you to that which you must have. Also, if you hear "there's nothing you can do about it...agree, but remember somebody can if they only knew.
