Thank you for sharing this! it works REALLY well, didnt even have to look at the fuel map and the tyres are still good to go for another race! The wierd thing is that not braking at the first corner (after the super long straight) is actually so much faster than braking and turning the corner like you should.. it shaves almost 3-4 secs off! Your driving is really good! (or mine sucks), i'm averaging at the 2mins 10 secs mark... Aside from bumping into other cars, are there any other things that might ruin the clean race bonus? I wall grind at the first corner for all 12 laps and still got the clean race bonus, but a little tap on other cars or crossing the white line at the last hair pin seems to ruin it...

@@Legofan5445 Hey thank you so much for the feedback mate, it's much appreciated. 👍🏽 Yeah so the 2 things that will lose your clean race bonus are hitting the AI (although you can get away with it sometimes) but also crossing the white painted line at the end of the final corner will definately lose it for you.

I followed this setup and ended up with 425.95. Can’t get it below 420 without adding 200kg ballast. Edit... I figured out a similar configuration (new car) with 20 more HP and below 420pp. You have good tips, thank you!

@@Ticket_Bait yeah I usually would be considering it needs to be under 420pp and wider wheels increase it by quite a bit I decided against it considering I was going for a bit of a 'slidey' setup 🤣 rather than grippy. But you could go either way I guess.

What if you haven't got the engine or the prop shaft and use auto gears with a control pad. It's 10 seconds slower

You could use the same suspension and bolt on bits and also add all the engine mods like bore, stroke, balancing pistons and rods. It will be slower cause the power to weight ratio will be lower but it will probably be more nimble out of corners cause you can also add the 3rd weight reduction. Still worth using I think

I think the stock engine can do ok but not as good as the swift engine.. get to collector level 50 brother, engine swaps are mad fun 👊🏽 I've got a whole bunch of swap tunes on the channel and the in the discord but there are some no swap tunes as well.

I’m always McLaren for manufactures but I’m brutal with them. This set up helped, but it still turns like a boat for me when I get long in turns. 2:03 time

Yeah I like the McLaren in group 3 cause it's stable and is quicker since it's last BOP update but it can be unforgiving in corners when you don't apply it just right I agree. Glad it helped, thanks for the feedback mate 👍🏽🐺

@@MBMusicGeek yeah so anything that effects power or weight would, but this is just mechanical grip and LSD stuff. Some people don't like the settings being available but I do. At least sometimes, so we get to use it.

I went McLaren in last manufacturers and used the f1 in the last race at Daytona on High BoP and it was up there like - won on second try. This tune is a bit power oversteery for me so I altered the diff settings an dropped the rear anti roll and it was better - but was still over a second behind my Ferrari time despite trying with it for an hour. Guess my driving style just doesn’t suit this car on medium BoP even with setup tweeks allowed. Thanks for the tume tho chief - loved the Suzuki Jimny one tho 👌

Yeah I only ever use traction control when it's extremely wet and I'm on dry tyres. The traction control is too strong in GT7 IMO.

I have had people say they can't get it exactly the same before, I don't think it's to do with region cause I've got an account in every region and they always work the same. Surry dude I hope you can find a way to get it below 420 without having to change much. Maybe readjust ballast positioning or add a little bit to get it there. Hope you work it out mate. 👍🏽

If you put a weight reduction on the car that could be what is throwing you off. Unfortunately there is no reverting back after you did the weight reduction

@@jcopp005Nah, you can absolutely have all weight reduction and zero ballast, when you also install the bore up and stroke up upgrades. I am wondering if one could have even more than 312 bhp with racing crank shaft or similar extra upgrades.

Cheers brother. Just thought I'd share the build and tune for anyone who can't be bothered working one out. I've gotta like 5 Jimny's so I tried all the combinations. Bolt on bits seem to work better than building the engine up. 👍🏽

Lol yeah I know, Cheers bro. It's not as simple as just doing the swap though, some people will work out how to make it super quick but if you just chuck all the engine mods on it'll actually be slower. I like this combo cause it means you have to spend the time to work out how to tune the car to be fast. I enjoy that kinda stuff.

Hey Wolffy, I,m looking forward to giving this tune a go with the Jag. You didn’t mention the Suzuki Escudo in your preferred cars for this track. I’ve tried about 20 cars here at Sardegna and the only one that I can consistently do 1:30’s with is the Escudo. Hopefully I can break the 1:30 with your Jag build. Cheers, Marty

Oh cheers mate yeah I hope you like it. The Escudo is great for Sardegna as well definately, especially for lap times. But doesn't the tyre wear and fuel consumption let it down a bit? I'm usually just trying to go for quickest overall race time. But yeah I'm glad you reminded me, I might give it a go again 👍

@@wolffpackracing You’re spot on mate about the fuel with the Escudo. It is a three pit stop car but I just enjoy driving it so much. By the way I loved the Jag and recorded my fastest overall time and was only 0.3 of a second outside my best lap with the Escudo. I was having so much fun that I missed my pit stop and ran out of fuel. Took me 3 minutes to get to the pits and I still won the race comfortably. Thanks again.

Yeah so I was thinking of doing a race last night after NSR, anyway I checked and there were much more populated lobbies. I definately think it has some awesome potential, and the Simgrid interface is really easy and useful.
