Heyy, Poke&Remix, it's great to see a new remix from you! I appreciate that you always give these lesser-picked themes equal attention, compared to the popular, iconic ones - not many remixers out there have the dedication and creative energy to do that! The style you went for here - sort of an early DnB style with hints of breakbeat and jungle - really hits for me, and you never fail to go way outside the box with your arrangements. The percussive elements in particular are a standout feature here. I really, really like the rhythms at 0:26, with that offset pattern, and the sort of stop-time aspect. I honestly have never heard anything quite like it, and it's just too cool! The drum and percussion samples you use are always so unique-sounding, and it's clear that you put a lot of effort into that facet of your remixes. I also really enjoy the ambient synths and pads used here, especially in the first segment and the one beginning at around 3:06 - that part is nice! I feel like the way you leave the listener with hints of the melody and/or have it far back in the mix is sort of a hallmark of your production style, and it's a neat technique. The longtime familiarity of most of the Pokemon series music really helps in that regard, as most of the pieces have memorable melodies. It's always a delight to see your videos appear in my Subscription feed and notifications. Keep up the great work, my friend! 🌟

Woah, man, this is so stylish and cool! I love it! Right off the bat, I was immediately surprised by how, well... funky it sounded! It caught me off guard, and I was instantly hooked. 😁 The percussive elements are so solid here, and they sound so polished and clean. The rhythms are catchy and fun, and the drum samples are spectacular. I like the use of different snares, like that heavy distorted one in the first segment (gives it a sick kind of late 80's/90's feel, which I love), and the more acoustic sounding one in the following section. The percussive style reminds me a bit of Viewtiful Joe, one of my favorite games for Gamecube. Ooh man, and the voice clips at the start really make it feel like a bustling, futuristic city. Your melodic elements are tight, as well - I like the tweaky synths you're using for the melody and supporting parts, and that rhythm guitar that emerges at 3:48 sounds super slick and fits nicely into the mix. Those haunting chords that work their way into the arrangement near the end are an interesting detail, as well, and fitting, given the darker side of Lumiose that features the character shown in the background and thumbnail (that was such a great post-game segment, by the way). And man, I thought the chords sounded a bit different, so I was psyched to read that you had reworked them in this version - really cool stuff! This is definitely one of my new favorites of yours, and I'd definitely be excited to hear more remixes in a similar style, if you enjoyed it, as well! Keep up the great work, Poke&Remix! :D

Man, this remix is oozing with atmosphere and mystique. Your signature ambient touch really makes the piece feel huge and dangerous, even. The B/W[2] games didn't hold back when it came to battling, and this remix doesn't, either! The beats in your remixes always hit hard, and I like how elements are added and removed throughout, to keep the beat dynamic and varied. Those accented snares on the upbeats sound so sick, and I really like how the drum samples sound reminiscent of late 90's early 2000's Jungle & DnB. When I listen to your music, I often feel like I'm getting a modernized revival, which really just feels cool! Combined with the spacious pads and high-speed supporting sounds, it really sounds immersive and ethereal, and it's a unique style that you've really honed and made your own over the years. I honestly don't at all mind that this remix is on the shorter side, as I feel 2 to 2.5 minutes is ideal for most songs. That's not to say I don't enjoy longer pieces, as well, but with shorter ones, I can listen to them back-to-back and really take in all the details more readily - and man, are your arrangements loaded with details! Again, great work on this remix, Poke&Remix - keep it up! :D

Hey, nice work, man! This remix must have taken a great deal of time to produce, with the sheer length and level of detail alone. It's fundamentally different from your previous National Park remix, and honestly, I like both in their own right! This one has a bit of an eerie element to it, with those atmospheric and droning sounds that persist throughout - it almost feels a bit like a chilling wind blowing through a desolate area, and this feels like what you might hear playing at National Park in a story that takes place some number of years later, when the park has been abandoned and become overgrown. It's a very interesting sound style, especially for a warm and cozy tune like this one, and I admire that you're always willing to work outside conventions approach iconic songs in ways that are radically different! The sound design here is really neat, as it's so dense and complex, and I like how you can hear hints of the National Park melody in the periphery throughout (and especially at the end). The lullaby-like sound makes it feel nostalgic, and adds a bit to that haunting feeling that I mentioned before. The coherence in the percussive elements anchors the song nicely, and really draws you into the remix, which makes it great for extended listens. In fact, I've had this on repeat for the last half-hour now while working on the computer and then writing this comment! Once again, great job with this! I'll be looking forward to that new release on Pokemon Day that you mentioned, as well - until next time, Poke&Remix! 🌟

Oh, dude, this is sick! I like how you chose to remix the B2/W2 rendition of this theme, and I agree that it's a straight upgrade from the original (with all due respect to the OG). And 100% this sounds more polished, and your continued experience as a producer really shows in the quality of music you're making, especially in the past year. The bass sounds here are just so dense and gritty, and they really bring out additional energy in the track. Right from the get-go, that distorted bass just makes an immediate impact, and I like the switch-up in sound design at 1:29 (with that nice accompanying tape stop effect) to that smoother, deeper sub. Really cool stuff! Honestly, your transitions are getting better all the time, and with your eclectic style, the impact of that is amplified. I look forward to hearing more of these creative transitional effects in future remixes! Also, my apologies that I haven't been as active commenting in the last month or so. It's been a struggle to find time to do so, but I'm hoping to be more regular with that in the coming months. As always, it's a pleasure to see new uploads from you, and I'll be looking forward to that D/P gym leader remix from the PWT! Keep it up, Poke&Remix! :D

Woah, nice work, Poke&Remix! This sounds very dreamlike and ambient - almost a bit haunting, too. You've captured the desolate, icy atmosphere of Snowpoint City quite well in this iteration, and it's clear that a lot of time went into the sound selection, effect usage, and arrangement. I always find it neat that a good number of your remixes have the melody taking on a more subtle role, rather than being front-and-center-, which really lets the supporting and atmospheric elements come out more prominently. It's an unorthodox approach, and something that I think is quite characteristic of your music. For instance, the howling, warping sounds here make it feel like you're in the midst of a dense blizzard, and it sort of anchors the piece, with all the different things going on in the percussive elements and sustained synth notes. It's cool, too, how it lightens up at times, as if the snow is clearing up briefly enough for the player to see their next destination in the distance. I'm glad to hear that your finals are over, and I hope you're able to get some rest and relaxation in during the break. Also, congratulations on nearly 6 years of making remixes - that's some dedication! I look forward to seeing you push your creations even further, and I'm excited to see what 2024 holds for both of us. Have a wonderful Christmas, my friend! 🎄

Oh, wow, this is such a delight to listen to! I think GSC and HG/SS's soundtracks are timeless and absolutely deserve all the love they get, but this song in particular is special, and a gem among gems. You've done a wonderful job capturing that rustic charm of the piece with the analogue sounds and use of ambient white noise, alongside the soft piano and sound-shaping filters. And that traditional instrument playing the bass and low harmony notes (not sure what it is) really captures the cultural style that Johto draws its inspiration from! The switch between synthetic and more acoustic-sounding elements imbues the remix with some nice variance, as do the dynamics, with a bit of an ebb-and-flow kind of feel. A nice, low-key, and relaxed beat rounds it all out to make for a soothing and nostalgic listening experience. Excellent choice of artwork, too - it really makes me feel like I'm back in the early 2010's playing HeartGold for the first time. :D Great work, as usual, Poke&Remix - keep it up!! 🌟

Ooh, nice one! I was psyched to see you revisit this theme, and this remix definitely carries on your tradition of outdoing yourself. The Abandoned/Sunken Ship is just a great track in general, and this is quite an atmospheric take on it - and it's a great pick for the week leading up to Halloween, too! That GBA startup sound at the beginning is a great detail, and already has me feeling super nostalgic. However, the remix takes a sudden and unexpected turn when it immediately segues into his ambient and mysterious sound style. I like how the melody is secondary to the drums, percussion, and atmospheric sound effects, and the creaking wood is an awesome compliment to the sound of seagulls and ocean waves. The high-resonance sounds interwoven throughout add a tone of eeriness, too, which is a subtle, yet impactful addition. Seriously, the SFX play _such_ a key role here! The drums are excellent, as well, in terms of both sample selection and rhythms. I really, really like the complex rhythm in the kick here, and that tight snare is superb. And the soft and spacious synths you've selected for the melody are a perfect fit for that distant, ethereal kind of sound. This is definitely the most unique remix I've ever heard of this theme, and it makes for a very surreal listening experience. I hope life has been good for you, and that you've had a great October so far. I'm excited to hear your upcoming Giratina remix! 👻

Dude, this is so sick! The atmospheric D&B style suits the theme so well, and I really like the incorporation of different sound styles with an assortment of glitchy and futuristic sounds. The dynamics here are a really strong point. The crescendos and build ups (e.g. 2:08) really amplify the energy, and then you scale it back at certain points (like at 3:15) for a nice push-and-pull kind of feel. I never mind when a remix goes hard from start-to-finish, but when there's dynamic variance, like you have here, it really adds to the listening experience. And there's a ton of variation not just in dynamics, but in terms of instrumentation, too - the addition of metal elements is a welcome surprise, as well! I haven't gotten to this part of the DLC yet, so I'm not at all familiar with the theme. That said, I've no doubt that you've embellished this arrangement with some major changes to the melody, bass, and supporting parts. I'll have to make sure to listen to this several times more once I've listened to the original a good amount! And man, it is really impressive that you've taken such a brand-new theme and remixed it in such a robust and detailed way - your production efficiency is something else! I'm happy to see that this remix has already gotten a strong response from the community. I hope that it continues to reach ever-wider audiences, as I feel it gives a solid representation of what your core musical style is about - a wildly creative and immersive multi-genre approach! Hopefully we'll both have some more time to play the Teal Mask expansion in the coming days and weeks... 🤞 Once again, excellent work, as usual, my friend! 🌟

Woah, man, the creativity here is off-the-charts! I've never heard a Pokemon remix quite like this... or even _any_ remix like this, period. I really admire that you're always undaunted by the challenge of integrating new styles and techniques into your music, and it definitely pays off! Honestly, the vocals and chanting feel like they're a good fit for Alder, since he comes across as a guy who doesn't hold back when it comes to passion and energy - and the same goes for the tribal percussion, as well. I could see these traditional elements going well in remixes of other themes, too, like for Dahlia or Kiawe. And I really like how you went all-in with these aspects, too - they're not just randomly sprinkled in here or there, but authentically integrated into the entire arrangement, from start to finish. One section that really got me was at 1:05, where those vocal chords sustain while the breakbeat comes in - it sounds so ethereal and cool, and it's a great segue into that more intense section at 1:28. As Hanabi mentioned, the way you're able to tie in so many different elements is awesome, and it's something that I think is quite characteristic of your musical style. Although you mention it in the description, it's quite evident through the music, too, that you had a lot of fun making this one. Keep up the excellent work, Poke&Remix! 🌟
