I like the video, but I feel I need to tell you that it is always best to specify whether you are using creative or survival mode Steve and Survival mode Steve is exactly what you said (excluding death/damage manipulation and teleportation) while creative can wipe everyone out with "/kill @e". Clearly you used a mix of both, but I would recommend sticking to one because, practically, creative and survival mode Steve are separate characters with overlap.

My intention was just to use peak version of regular Steve. Creative Mode is something outside bounds of his story & thus would be ability of The Player (avatar of real life human playing the game), at least as far as I understand it, I could be wrong about that though, I’m very willing to admit that I’m not an Minecraft lore expert. 😅 I didn’t realize the death manipulation was exclusive to creative/survival. I incorrectly remembered it came from potion or something lol.

@@Marionic9001 First off, thanks for responding. Second, death manipulation isn't in survival, while teleportation is only possible in survival with Enderpearls, which come with a drawback as Steve takes damage from the teleportation (plus can summon and Endermite to act as a annoyance for all fighters, but it's rare enough to not be a factor) Lastly, don't worry about not understanding Minecraft lore, even I don't get it at times despite the fact that I've been playing the game for a long time lol. Hi, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Again, the research on this topic was one I was just doing in my spare time. I also apologize for making a whole new comment for this instead of just replying to my old comment, but for some reason KZfaq doesn't like when I reply to that comment and has deleted every single one I've tried to do so far I'm also gonna apologize in advance. I spent all that time researching and gathering screenshots and YT videos and when everything was said and done and I looked over it, it didn't look good. I was pulling from a couple of different blogs and websites for my research and tried to not make an entire 30,000 word essay but in doing that I feel that I jumped from point to point too quickly and not in a coherent order. Instead, what I am going to do is link you the main two websites I used for my research and then go over some key points that I feel are the most important. This comment will still be kinda long but nowhere near as long as the blog, but they link many many of their sources so I feel it's worth reading Here is the main blog I used to assist me vsbattles.com/threads/megami-tensei-the-collective-expansive-crt.124544/ Personally I don't like using the Vs Battle Wiki all too much because not all of their claims are accurate. Sometimes they lowball certain characters or rank others too highly. For example, they massively lowball Shulk. But I feel that with the amount of sources that this blog specifically lists, it's worth looking into In my previous comment i mentioned that Persona 1 has outerversal scaling since Kandori transcends dimensionality. That was actually incorrect on my part. As for the Kandori scan, itself, he states to have "power over dimensions," ( static.wikia.nocookie.net/vsbattles/images/4/40/Kandori2.png/revision/latest?cb=20201227224023 ) and I personally would not equate that to transcending dimensionality altogether unless it was given more in-depth explanation, which it is not, to my knowledge As for what concepts Persona 2 brings to the table, it actually brings up more than one but the major one I want to focus on is a scene in Tatsuya's Scenario for P2's PSP remake. In this scene, Igor states that both Personas and Demons hail from a level of the Sea of Souls called Kadath Mandala, where they both exist in their archetypal forms ( imgur.com/nC6Jyh2 ). This is what I was referring to when I said that SMT actually benefits from being connected to Persona, because it mentions the place of origin for demons (as well as the Slime compendium entry in SMT IV [ "Its journey from the Atziluth world to the Assiah world was incomplete in some way." megamitensei.fandom.com/wiki/Slime#Shin_Megami_Tensei:_Strange_Journey ]) What this shows us is that Kadath Mandala and Atziluth are the same place. This also tells us that Persona does indeed use the same Kabbalistic Tree of Life cosmology that SMT uses. The Tree of Life is also briefly touched on in Persona 3 by Edogawa but he doesn't go in-depth about it Now, how does this relate to Joker? Well, it's unclear as to where the Metaverse in Persona 5 lies in the grand scheme of the Four Worlds, we just know it exists above Assiah, the physical world. The same can be said for the Midnight Channel in Persona 4 and the Dark Hour in Persona 3 (just a little footnote there). In my earlier comment I had made a point that Joker scales to outerversal simply from his feat of defeating Yaldabaoth, but the idea of calling that an outerversal feat in itself is questionable. He says in P5 that he is "the administrator born of the Collective Unconscious" ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ar-Vns-jr7DGf3U.htmlsi=IgUOWCUkI3yAfQzp at the 10:30 mark ). It's unclear as to whether or not he means the administrator over the entirety of the Collective Unconscious or just a portion of it. If he were the administrator of the entire CU then merging reality with the CU world be an outerversal feat, as the layer of Kadath Mandala is the realm where Buddhas like Vairocana, who have achieved enlightenment/Nirvana, reside, and transcends the concept of dimensions entirely ( imgur.com/a/megaten-scanslave-05-oIzYrYV ), though with how little info we're given about the extent of Yaldabaoth's control, I wouldn't blame you for not being convinced However, even after Yalabaoth there is another feat scaling Joker to outerversal in the third semester of Persona 5 Royal. Spoilers ahead In the third semester, Joker and the Phantom theives fight Adam Kadmon, who is the source of all existence and the unbound potential of humanity's soul, as referenced by Philemon himself ( imgur.com/a/vsbyYTb ), as well as the embodiment of the Tree of Life itself ( encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTHa1dvXjBRs6s_S6xNWgaiue5O_m-Zx0J4SQ&usqp=CAU ) Due to these findings, some people have scaled Adam Kadmon higher than even YHVH. I personally do not know if he can be scaled to such a degree, so I will not say yes or no to that I will also add that Joker did not overpower Adam Kadmon in any way. It took the combined effort of all of the Phantom Theives along with Crow and Violet to barely defeat him on a technicality. Before, they were only able to barely damage a fully powered Adam Kadmon. However, being able to harm Adam Kadmon at all is itself an outerversal feat in my opinion Of course, all of this doesn't mean a single thing if you do not believe that Persona and SMT share the same cosmology. The internet is heavily divided on whether or not they think that the two series are connected, and frankly I think that's dumb because the entire Persona series is quite literally an alternate timeline spinoff of SMT1 and SMT III Nocturne speaks briefly about an existing multiverse. I dont see why a spinoff series that originated from an alternate timeline wouldn't occupy the same cosmology. The name of the series all the way up until 4 is literally called "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona," with Persona 5 being the first game in the series to not have the SMT name on the cover. SMT characters are seen in Persona games. Demons and Personas interact with each other ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mqyHdZiEt6-Xm2w.htmlsi=pdJpSCLR9tIlromZ ). They're treated as equals and you even have to defeat certain Demons to unlock them later on as Personas, such as Sakya. In the fight with Joker (Persona 2), he brings out demons himself and still loses that fight, which even supports the idea that Personas and Demons scale one to another. To add the cherry on top, some Personas even state that their powers in their respective mythologies are yours to control. Some examples (that are also linked in the blog I previously put) are Mada, Ouroboros, Virochana, Shiva, Kohryu, Gaia, and Skurd. The two occupying the same cosmology would also better explain the Kabbalistic structure as well as Igor stating that Personas and Demons originate from the same place However, even if you agree with nothing that I've said, honestly I don't mind seeing as you did not lowball Shulk in your video lol. I have no idea whether or not KZfaq will let me reply to any questions or rebuttals you have, but if you do have some, I will do my best to research them

Spoilers for xenoblade 3: At the end of xenoblade 3 its stated that nia and melia comunicaded with each other using light. Mind you, this was before the merger of the two universes, meaning that that light had to travel at least at an infinite speed to even reach melia and nia. Meaning that light in the xenoblade universe moves at infinite speed, so any character that is stated to move at the speed of light already has infinite speed (i.e Rex, Jin, the aegises, and potentialy shulk and alvis.)

Mega Man doesn’t scale to Duo and is outright conveyed to be weaker than him Duo is weakened during his fight with Mega Man due to battling the Evil Robot earlier and crash landing on Earth from space When Mega Man first sees Duo in his stage, he comments on his strength, saying “What power…!” Mega Man and Duo’s fight gets cut short, due to Duo believing Mega Man to be a warrior of justice Mega Man also notes how powerful Duo is after the fight, and states he was holding back Before Mega Man enters Wily Castle, he attacked and electrocuted by a robot for several seconds, before Duo easily kills it Right before the final boss, Mega Man is about to be hit by a laser made of evil energy that is implied will kill him, but Duo takes the attack for him, and damages Dr. Wily’s machine, destroying the cannon I’m not sure about fears outside the games tho

Mega Man is considered strongest fighting robot in later appearances even after everyone’s aware of Duo, which is not at all unreasonable seeing to how he’s seen getting stronger over time, via upgrades & fighting constantly stronger threats (Double Gear System from 11 being most blatant example), while Duo hasn’t been implied to do so. In just one game Rock went from getting One-Shot by one of weaker Star Droids in the opening, to defeating Sunstar, who was considered super weapon even among Star Droids. Not to mention direct feats like ones in Rockman Strategy, game where Luna and Apollo, pretty much two randos, just beat up Duo. Mega Man ect. are able to beat them up with no problems, & them injuring Duo was never treated as impossible or particularly massive feat either. All to say even IF he didn’t scale to Duo in Mega Man 8, he definitely should later.

(Spoilers for everything 1, 2, and 3) Ontos's role as the arbiter of the Trinity core is pretty tricky to define with what we know. While some say it denotes power, I think its dependence on the other two aspects as well as Logos and Pneuma's own showings make me feel the role is closer to tie breaker/leader. If he is stronger its not by an insane amount. All of the trinity core, and even non core people, are shown to be drastically stronger when working with others. Malos in Xb2 was never able to fight freely and without doubts alongside another (like Jin) unlike his siblings. As such in that game he is by far the weakest. Pneuma as Mythra was weaker than that basic Malos, but also was afraid of her powers and could not use them to the fullest. But as soon as she was able to fight alongside another freely she went from being a very strong blade to rewriting reality on a whim as Pnuema. Similarly, Ontos/Alivs does his most impressive feats when working with either the original trinity core(creating XB1 world), his recreated trinity(Bionis/Mechonis/Monado powers), or Shulk and his friends(recreating the world and changing fate). Strong emotions and desires boost their abilities by a lot, to the point where Alpha prioritized Na'el over rejoining with his literal other half of power. N, using the black Origin Blade with Malos' spirit, was able to with his Moebius emotions overpower whole Ontos/ Na'el. Ghondor with just Orobouros could split Ontos' personality and power in half. Then a host-less Alpha using the desires of all of the city people was boosted to such a degree that Logos, Pnuema, and the FC party's emotions were needed to defeat him, further showing how potent they are. Granted in FR it is hard to say if the cores are stronger or weaker after the conduit disappeared, but seeing as Ontos was able to stop Z, who froze the time of two infinite universes for over a thousand years, its hard to say if they got weaker at all.

I don't really understand your reasoning with Smash vs. canon. You say you don't want to include Smash-only inventions, yet you do anyway. For example, Game & Watch can't turn into an octopus. The octopus is an enemy in one Game & Watch game and the characters don't have any control over it. You include the gunmen as part of Duck Hunt's strength yet they come from entirely different games and wouldn't fight together. (Plus wouldn't the Duck Hunt Trio technically be unbeteable by most characters since the person with the light gun is observing it all from a seperate dimension) Lastly, and this is not a jab at you or the video, I just don't really understand the enjoyment of taking every instance and mechanic so literally. In the end pretty much everyone end up having supersonic, or higher, speeds to some degree. A character can be able to generate 1 000 gigatons of force in one moment and then have to hit a basic enemy twice to kill them. It just doesn't make sense. I feel like if a character has insane feats it has to be able to be explained, otherwise it's just a game mechanic. Edit: You did an amazing job with your research it seems, just some things I think are faulty. Which is fine.
@Marionic9001
@Marionic9001 Ай бұрын
Thank you. I can only say that my explanation of Smash vs canon was, awfully worded to say the least. You’re not the first one to make note of this. My main goal was to separate scaling of the canonical games ect. material from separate scaling of Smash’s story… for example, in his own games Mario has shown universal & beyond feats ect. while character like Kirby and Link, two people he canonically fights in Brawl, have higher & lower scaling respectively, yet any one of them can beat each other in canon. R.O.B. & Ice Climbers don’t have any notable feats but here they are constantly evading & out-speeding everyone who’d normally be considered strong during cutscenes. This applies to every fight in Brawl’s story mode, the series’ dubiously canon trailers & World of Light. Every character is seemingly more or less relative to each other, which might be explainable with everyone being trophy/spirit based on real world equivalent animated by Master Hand’s creativity & thus they may not exactly match their templates. I simply granted Game& Watch ect. characters the abilities they have in their movesets, which is fine when there is no contradicting evidence in source material, like I mentioned at 07:42 (G&W in particular is fine, considering Smash kinda treats him as amalgam of at least all original G&W games). "Wouldn't the Duck Hunt Trio technically be unbeatable by most characters since the person with the light gun is observing it all from a separate dimension" - The Duck Hunt gunman could be interpreted that way, at least judging by Smash Trailer for them, however, in original game they're simply implied to be a character like rest (Palutena’s Guidance makes note that the gunman is just hidden, but that doesn’t necessarily confirm either which way, but that I can say is that no player is currently shooting his game controller gun at screen when they do their side-smashes). Your game mechanic part confuses me. Are you complaining how gameplay differs from canon or confusing game mechanics with canon? I ran with canonical & story based info and not gameplay mechanics in this video after all, so I’m not quite sure what you’re referring to here… could you elaborate, perhaps with a side of an example from the video?

@@Marionic9001 I didn't expect such an elaborate explanation, but thank you. I understand this video more now. I thought the characters wouldn't rely on Smash at all which confused me a bit I suppose, but I still don't quite get mixing Smash canon and canon from their games. It's okay though. And regarding the last piece I didn't word it quite as well as I could have. What I meant to point out is that if a character, let's say Marth for example, is able to achieve supersonic speeds then what's the explanation? He's made of flesh and blood and should by no means be able to achieve that. Nothing ever supports the fact aside from calculations saying he has to because he dodges stuff sometimes. I get that we're taking the source material as definitive proof but I just think it's kinda silly personally to look at it like that.
@Marionic9001
@Marionic9001 Ай бұрын
@@amadeus.7436 "I still don't quite get mixing Smash canon and canon from their games. It's okay though" - It’s just to give R.O.B. & others of the sort something we can work with. Smash is supposed to represent the stories & abilities of the characters in it, it is a celebration of these characters & their histories after all, so as long as things it introduces don’t outright contradict lore established by source material (which R.O.B. technically lacks, so we can’t exactly say they have shown lack of lasers) it’s fine to use, at lest in my books. So you have problem with fictional people being able to do fictional things…? If you want ”a reason” why certain characters can reach certain levels of power, we usually have lore explanations for such built into the media, that’s what Power Systems are literally for in the stories. Things like Ki, Chakra, Spirit Energy, Ether, Magic, demonic/holy weapons, different alien physiology and so on are put into story for, well various reasons, but also to explain away why the characters are so superhuman & can do the things we real humans can not. Most of the characters in this list have thing like that. But in cases where seemingly normal humans (yes, most of Fire Emblem technically falls into this category, now that you mentioned them), there is far simpler explanation. It’s fiction. In real life, you could never train your body to be tougher than iron & move faster than light, but in series like One Piece for example, even normal human without any Devil Fruits ect. powers can naturally grind away & become that strong. If it is constantly showcased in the fiction that characters can move at supersonic speeds or whatnot, then it is consistent & thus we would use that consistent info to infer ”I see, so people in this world can move beyond supersonic speeds huh” -ect. They are simply imagined that way. Problems arise when there are contradictions, but in those kinds of cases we settle things by looking at what’s most consistent in the story.

@@Marionic9001 I mean, Mr. Game & Watch turning into the octopus is not something that happens in the games and there's nothing that suggests he can do so other than Smash. Feels unnecessary to be lenient with some characters when you have 80+ to work with. And yeah I totally get your reasoning regarding the logic of certain characters being able to do certain things. You're following the same logic most other people do when they power-scale character like this. I just don't think it necessarily makes for a very interesting subject. A lot of it feels like an early Game Theory video where a character's speed or strength technically would be ridiculous but just doesn't make sense when you think about in the context of the story or gameplay. Xenoblade Chronicles lore? Good luck with that! The whole series has so many religious references it is insane. And that is before the radio happened. As for Alvis, it is said that he is the arbiter between his siblings/other trinity procesots and heavily depends on their power and also the main core responsible for majority of the preocesses when the space station was still standing. So when the experiment happened, he transported into XC1 universe to as he was still following his original programing and making sure that the experiment is sucesfull. Then there was some other things, like how Alvis was influences by Zanza's other half who regreted destroying the universe which explains why he decided to assist Shulk and co as Alvis probably saw that Zanza will mess things up again. The other monados? Likely reflections/replicas of the other trinity procesors with Zanza probably using Pneumas and Mayneth using Malos. This is more of a speculation, but hey, that is Xeno lore for you!

Your lesser Monado theory is interesting but I disagree slightly because of how personas are tied to the cores. While Logos never showed the power to predict the future, I think if the lesser Monado were reflections of the Trinity Zanaza needs to have Logos because he is the male aspect of Alvis' trinity. Meaning Meyneth's Monado would be a reflection of Alvis' memory of Pnuema.

I wish you’d have kept going with the rest of the story. The power scaling only got crazier and more interesting with 2 and 3 and their expansions. Alvis is just Ontos. One core of the Trinity Processor out of three. You owe it both the fanbase and YOURSELF to complete the analysis. You just explained a third of the intended narrative and called it complete. Takahashi merits better right? This was GREAT, but you COULD make a true masterwork.

Xenoblade 1-3 take place in virtual worlds so any powers blade characters show is irrelevant when it comes to powerscaling as they could not do any of their feats outside the virtual worlds. Takahashi has confirmed this in the artworks and interviews recently that xenoblade 1, Xenoblade 2, and Xenoblade 3 all take place in virtual worlds. This video is pointless. Blade characters could get washed by some of the weakest gaming characters since blade characters have no real powers.

This line of logic only works if we actually have evidence that they're weaker outside. This is like saying Yozora is featless because he only ever fought Sora in Quadratum.

No, they take place in pocket dimension where space and time work differently and when the dev call Aionios a *virtual world* it’s more a methaphore, it’s not actually like the Matrix

This statement will be addressed in 3rd video obviously, but for now, I guess I could say that Project X Zone and Smash Bros. appearances, AKA portrayals sanctioned by the series authors, pretty much disregard this fact... if it would have any effect on the scaling at all, it’s not there.

That statement is just straight up untrue, I believe what he said was that you could think of the mechanical design of AIonios specifically as a virtual world, 'even though it is still 100% real it is supported by artificial systems

@@Night_ssbu That is very interesting, I did not know there was statement about the size and it even matches with the common calculations (at least somewhat) …well, assuming Takahashi meant that Bionis/Mechonis are as TALL as Japan from north to south (some 3800km give or take), but this statement could also mean that the two giants hold livable surface area that is equal to the surface area of Japan (377 973 km² according to google), leaving out how tall they are to the guy’s with calculators. From the looks of the statement it kinda seems that he says that the area players can access in-game (where you play) is the size of Japan, you know, compared to character models, but that’s probably not the case, & wouldn’t be the canonical size of Bionis either, since not 100% of it is covered in-game or story. IDK if this statement contradicts anything really, I’ll have to check bit deeper.

So I'm not the best person to explain this since it's Xenosaga lore (I recommend Luxin for full explanations), but the confusion of the Memory Passage clears up if you read it as existing within the Upper Domain (basically a higher layer of the universe where gods and other conceptual beings reside, that is virtually untouchable by residents of the Lower Domain). Basically, during the finale of the game, Shulk (and arguably Fiora) ascends to the Upper Domain, and he carries his party members with him in a temporary ascension, with help from Alvis. (I realize that probably sounds like word salad, but given that the post-credits of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed basically confirms that Xenoblade 1, 2, and 3 are part of the larger Xenosaga canon, it's worth digging into for the later entries, particularly Xenoblade 3 since both Moebius and Fogbeasts are heavily implied to be lesser equivalents to Gnosis from Xenosaga, which is a tangent on its own.)

Xenosaga is not confirmed cannon and i know neither is X. Nothing from Saga can work with blade well either and X could fit but no confirmation if its coming back or connecting but i think it would be better if neither connected at this point. Also Namco isn't interested in selling or bringing saga back. It also wouldn't make much sales at all.

@@dave9515 Future Redeemed directly namedrops Dimitri Yuriev on a radio broadcast from a radio manufactured by Vector Industries, and the post-credits scene is _heavily_ implied to be KOS-MOS falling to Earth at the end of Xenosaga 3. I'd recommend watching Luxin's video about the radio in Future Redeemed if you don't believe me, he goes into detail on why and how it lines up, including the thing about Bandai-Namco and IP rights.

My one issue is that to my knowledge (admittedly not having played Saga) Gnosis were not sentient, at least not to the extent of say a Moebius.) Plus, Fogbeasts were DIRECT corruptions from the impending merge of dimensions, heralding the erasure. Moebius were deliberate refutations of change whose purpose was to never allow the merge to compete.

@@FlipzMCLDimitri Yuriev was born thousands of years after Earth was lost in Xenosaga. Klaus's experiment was done in a USA controlled station while Grimoire did his in Canada. Shion and Allan also canonically lived in pre experiment Earth and built KOS-MOS Refrain. The names may be from Xenosaga but they can not be the same characters at all. FR Dimitri and Shion are not the same as XS Dimitri and Shion. Dmitri is hundreds of years old, not 5000+. Shion is only 23.

Alvis was never retrofit into being an aegis core, the two aegis cores were given background tasks to manage every blade. The specifics aren’t clear, but it could be that the power sets of Alvis and his siblings diverged from a starting point. The fall from the fortress was later confirmed to have been that Meyneth saved them. As for getting shot, Shulk’s body is still mortal. Not to mention that Zanza knew it was coming and suppressed the vision from Shulk.

"Alvis was never retrofit into being an aegis core, the two aegis cores were given background tasks to manage every blade. The specifics aren’t clear, but it could be that the power sets of Alvis and his siblings diverged from a starting point." - Yes, Those may well be part of the reason for their differences. My main point was however that Alvis is basically ruler of an Universe & beyond, while the others are, sorta reasonably powerful Blades that do as their Driver’s will dictates, while Alvis... well, explicitly doesn’t. "Shulk's body is still mortal" - He is as mortal as a guy moving at immeasurable speeds and fighting immeasurably powerful gods can be. He's here tanking energy blasts from Yaldabaoth that blow the hell out of his party and clashing with god that recreate & destroys universes in single blow without dying... yep, something f_cked was going on with that bullet.

54:53 i mean that was explained as a result of Meyneth using her power to save them Also regarding Shulk being shot by Dickson, all of Shulk's regular visions up to this point were from Zanza right? And during the Zanza fight Shulk says: 'It shows me my enemy' could it be possible that because Shulk did not at this point recognise Dickson as an enemy he could not perceive a vision warning him of being shot?
@karbyboi8489
@karbyboi8489 Ай бұрын
I don't think that's it 🤔 remember shulk before that point had thoughts of why he and his abilities were changing so rapidly. He questioned why he didn't have visions anymore. It was because he was getting so strong that he didn't need visions, if he focused shulk would KNOW what happens in the future. He explained that to reyn and the gang So maybe the reason he got shot was because his visions/future sight were replaced with a clairvoyance that he manually needs to activate
@Marionic9001
@Marionic9001 Ай бұрын
Ah, yes, I suppose there was a line about Shulk asking if it was her doing & thus implying that se did, in the scene where Meyneth awakens when Egil first starts moving Mechonis. It is my mistake for not making a note of it, after all, the fall down itself makes no reference to this and none of the party members guesion how they made it. Well, I suppose that would make it inconsistency like the ones I mentioned (since Shulk implies the fall would’ve been a big deal via this line, despite how it realistically shouldn’t be). …or alternatively, maybe this line is referring to Meyneth saving the gang from Egil just a second before the fall & Shulk just refers to the whole ordeal as a singular even by saying ”back when we fell” since it happened right after. I mean Fiora/Meyneth seemed pretty inactive afterwards anyway & may have lost consciousness too, so did she actually save them...? Dunno about that interpretation though. "could it be possible that because Shulk did not at this point recognise Dickson as an enemy he could not perceive a vision warning him of being shot?" - I don’t know, not likely? The Visions don’t solely happen based on if something dangerous is gonna happen to Shulk or the party, they can show anything of importance really (for example, all the Visions about important people like party members he would meet or those side-quest collectables you sometimes find before receiving quest). Likely the reason Visions didn’t activate because the event was predestined to happen by Zanza (as he details in the very next scene) & thus it was unavoidable, or it was just blocked…
