My trial crew re-routed those switchbacks heading down to Moran Basin in 2022. I bet you guys were so relieved after bushwacking on that ridge. I didn't expect to see that when I started watching, love to see it!

This is awesome! When we took those switchbacks down to Moran I remember thinking how fresh the trail seemed, and that it was odd as it’s not an overly popular area to hike into it seems. This all makes sense now. Thanks to you and your crew for working on the trails to make it possible to hike to these incredible places. Random question, did anyone from your trail crew lose a pair of gloves?

@@DannyJSchaefer More than likely someone did, we were out there for a couple of days but had to hightail it out of there due to 5 or 6 fires that popped up from a lightning storm that came though. We always tried to practice LNT, but sometimes things slip though the cracks. It was a bit of an odd part of trail to work, the road in was permanently gated a few years back to promote grizzly habitat, but Forest Service on KNF does a really great job keeping up access to the Cabinets given the challenges of staff and funding. I appreciate your content, keep enjoying public land bro!

Glad you guys made it out of there then. I’m heading back to the Cabinets again in the next couple of weeks to attempt this route again and hopefully finish the trek. The reason I asked is because I found some nice gloves, and ended up packing them out and still have them. Yeah I remember reading that the Moran Basin is known for being fairly dense with grizzly. Thanks for watching man.

Oh man.. That pack was so heavy 😳 And believe it or not I bought a new traditional pack this year that weighs about seven lbs. This was a good trip.. then, and when we tackled it a couple years later!

You are not wearing masks in the middle of the pandemic. I was hiking at the same time around Upper Priest Lake when I passed a group that I expected were from Spokane. I told them they needed to wear masks on the trail...like they do in California. One woman said, " Oh, no, this is Idaho."
