Honsal, you think disregarding press protections per cA law was the right thing to do? Amazing. Is that why you apologized to at least 2 journalists that night who were forcibly detained and prevented from doing their work that night? Why were police kettling all other press off campus with threat of force? This is an irresponsible reaction from HSO, and it will not stand. Our students and our community deserve better. They deserve competent and critical local media coverage, at a MINIMUM.

I wish I had been contacted for this coverage, seeing as I was the only local reporter there before, during and after the occupation. I would have loved the opportunity to chime in on the matter of the police reaction, wherein our local sheriff failed to set protocol for officers encountering press, despite being a “constitutional” sheriff. It’s nice that Honsal outlines the timeframe here, for reference, but there are discrepancies in how the response is articulated here, and how it unfolded in reality. See my videos for comparison. Alternative question: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT NOT RESPECTING PRESS RIGHTS PER CA 409.7 WHILE STORMING THE CAMPUS? (Answer: they did not educate police about press rights, resulting in local media being kettled off scene, preventing media oversight or coverage of the incident) So, we are all going to have to take his word for this because there were no Press people allowed to witness over 20 arrests that were conducted that evening after Press and any observers at all or kettle off of the scene forcibly by over 200 police from out of the area, called by your local sheriffs department here.

There is however one criticism I need to add. On day 3, one team was misidentified as being Shifts and Giggles, whereas it was actually Cloudy with a Chance of clowns. ( I knew this because it was correctly identified on day 2 by the the Keet commentators.)

It was great, since I couldn't be there this year, and have been going to the race for over 35 years. I just wish the keet coverage would have gone on longer on the Ferndale finish day. (day three) as the broadcast stopped before even half of the sculptures arrived at the finish line.. I know that makes for a long show, but wouldn't that be possible? Anyway, so glad it's being covered., iconic Humboldt County experience rich with race history and lore, shared by Keet. Makes me proud to be a supporter.

Excellent, thank you! I was wondering about that space/time silly factor. If this thing is time travel or even simulation theory, then knowing place & time, tells you the relationship of planets & other objects, in our solar system including constellations outside our system, but aligning with the earth, in orbital relationship. In other words, like a horoscope, a picture of the skies say, when you are born. If I was travelling in time, or AI injected into a simulation, and did so by inputting certain planetary positions in time&space, first thing I'd ask is, did I hit the correct mark, to do whatever it is I was "sent" to do. So, were the remarks made to help "remember" the extraordinary event? Or to throw confusion & doubt about the event? Or was it s hint as to whats really going on, especially regarding "time", our one-directional sense of past, present, & future, in fact, the very essense of science itself, causation (cause-effect)! The phenomena obey no rules. Speeds, turns, disappearances, telepathy, and yet this one crazy exchange, seems purposeful on one level. Teleological. Which leaves us where, lol? The patterns I see, are a relationship between movements, even colors & other behaviors that correlate in interesting way, with the organization of the planets in space as orbiting bodies, but at particular times as seen from a particular place on earth. And why would the phenomena consistently relate to a grander scheme, directing its own movements & behaviors according to grander cosmic patterns? Is it relaying something important to us, indirectly? Is it testing our cognitive abilities by patterns, even symbols? Is it just messing with our heads? An entertainment? A programmed matrix? Personally, I think it is a test of sorts. It does what it has to do to shake us down a bit, to make us wonder, that it's bigger than all this violence & bloodshed we find all over the world between homo sapiens. Even Bigelow, and his fellow Mormons (my pioneer ancestors murdered by them in 1857, September 11...), beware the fanatical religious! Is it a program to correct our course? Or simply a nuts&bolts invasion. My sighting as a ten year old kid playing outside, Austin, Texas, was in 1963. Small, dark grey circular object with a dome, sailed slowly towards me, noiselessly, just above my head and on down the neighborhood street until I could no longer see it. No thoughts of yelling to the other kids running around, HEY LOOK! or chasing after it, or throwing a rock... Just awe as my eyes followed it. There were NO electric or other effects or winds, no radiation burns or illness afterwards as in some cases, no bizarre dreams (that i remember), etc. just an "experience" that I filed away, but an unforgettable, sixty second question mark, one in a long line of others. It may be that "star map" Betty Hill recalled, was not some zeta reticuli system far away, but her own birth chart! A picture of the sky at her birth. It lines up. Our solar system planets & sun, in the same "pattern", not circular but a lined map, with different sizes, a set time & place. And being questioned by the being, do you know where it is, this map, Betty said, no. She did not recognize herself... Is that where they're from? Our deepest selves, some future, some dimensional energy? Are they accidental or purposeful? Are they us? Perhaps it's a nudge to humanity; because the day we say we know everything; it's all explained, is the day we are enslaved forever. And we stop looking.
