hi what is. the best way to go from Punta Cana airport to the hotel? is there a bus? or private shuttle?
@outdooradventurestravel5 күн бұрын
We got a free shuttle with our trip. Most package deals will include this. There are also taxi and shuttles waiting at the airport. I will warn you, we have travelled many times but we were overwhelmed with the helpfulness of the people there. We thought we were getting scammed when we asked which bus to get on and the guy led us way back in the parking lot to a private shuttle... We did not book this but he had our names on a card with our flights and hotel and dates , so we proceeded and got there safe and had a blast talking with the driver. Everything will be good have a great time.

Hi, I stumbled on your video this morning and have direct experience with topics you are interested in. This will be long, so you'll need to scroll a bit. I fly fish over 100 days/year and have more rods than a normal person needs. You are correct about Sage and their time to repair. I will never own another Sage rod because of this issue. For warranty issues, I like Orvis and Douglas as both will send sections without needing the rod to be sent in first. Hardy is OK as well; the turnaround time is two weeks, but they need to have the rod to test fit the sections. G. Loomis has an expeditor service, but I've never had to use it. A while back, I cast an Echo Carbon XL 9' 5wt with Rio Perception and it was fantastic. I also cast an ION XL 9' 7wt and liked it very much. Tim Rajeff designs great rods and they are an exceptional value for the money. For current trout rods, I'm fishing a Douglas Sky G 9' 5wt. This is an excellent overall rod but it lacks a bit of soul as the fish size drops below 11" (30cm). My favorite trout rod is a Hardy 8'6" 4wt Ultralite. For fish up to 1.5 kg the rod is amazing. For larger fish up to 3 kg, my favorite is the Loomis IMX-Pro 9' 6wt. For fish around 2 kg, I use the Douglas. You mentioned Lamson while talking about reels. I would seriously look at their rods and rod/reel kits. I have a Lamson Purist 9' 4wt 2 piece, that is a blast for smaller fish. For travel rods, I use the Hardy Demon Smuggler series. They have been replaced by the Aydon series and would be comfortable buying these in a heartbeat. For lines, I would look more at SA than Rio for freshwater lines. I fish small streamers or drift small nymphs, so I tend to favor lines with a shorter head, <35'. My favorite line is SA Smooth Creek. I also like Rio Perception, if the rod has a softer tip. For saltwater, I prefer Rio Bonefish Quickshooter. This is the saltwater equivalent of Perception. It has a similar head design but is heavier than spec weight on the package. For reels, I'm strictly Lamson. For boots, I prefer Korkers because of the interchangeable souls. Hope this helps.

When we were there , there was construction going on. Probably will be still going. It wasn't that noisy at all. We still rested by the pool daily.

Just an FYI ... I have stayed at this Hotel about 12 times and always had a great time .. The STAFF is fantastic .. and it seems that some money is being put into this hotel for infrastructure and some updated rooms ... The positive changes started after this hotel STOPPED being partly owned by the Barcelo Hotel group.about March 2024 ....and why getting in was so difficult ..... timing of ownership was strange .... It is now solely owned by the Cuban Govt and no longer invested in by Barcelo .. hence the loss of Allegro in the name .. .. The BRAND of the solely owned Cuban Hotel is Caribe so you will probably see a name change to Caribe Palma Real soon .. .... Thanks for the walk about on the property .. it was good to see it again and some of my Cuban Friends .. staff you walked by at pool was a front door man.. .

Hey man im a single guy going to barcelo resort, i keep hearing bad things about the resort. Should i worry or will it be a good time? And are there young people around and clubs, im 23 so thats why lol. Thanks and great video man!
@outdooradventurestravelАй бұрын
To be honest with the shortages the food can be hit or miss. We stayed at the occidental and barcelo. Barcelo was by far better for buffets. One thing to do is book the ala carte restaurants the day you get there. Then book once you use them up. We got to go to the ala carts almost every night this way. Be friendly and you will get your way. Also. Varadero is only a 2 min walk away. Food is cheap and great quality in town. We met friends at the resort and went into town to eat many times. Watch my other videos on that. We would go again to the barcelo. Great beach and staff. Thanks for watching. Hope this helped. Feel free to ask more questions

@jojo-fu4xhАй бұрын
@@outdooradventurestravel that is because Varadero is THE ONLY place in Cuba not experiencing rolling power outages for at least 12 hours every day. They provide electricity in Varadero to protect the tourism. It is disgusting! there is big shortages of food also all over. Maybe it doesn't bother you as a tourist that you get basic things like electricity and food. It bothered us! those poor families. why don't you google it! I can't believe how oblivious you are!

unless you have smoked any of these brands you've bought, you don't know whether you are actually smoking a factory second or a cigar rolled at somone's house. Yes, it's cuban tobacco, but it's not to the standard or blend from the factory.

In this video the narrator mentions the harsh reality of Cuba, but fails to point out the real cause of the problem and instead asks for more of the same sanctions and restrictions that the Cuban people has endured for 64 years. He, intentionally or by ignorance, omits the real reason for the struggle of the Cuban common citizen, which is the economic and political embargo imposed by the United States of America since 1963 and that continues until this day making life for the people that live in the island nation extremely difficult. End the embargo, and give Cuba a chance to prove itself, that is the first step!

It's hard to believe such cautious mention is made of a kleptocratic government that refuses to give Cuban people the right to govern themselves.
@outdooradventurestravel3 ай бұрын
We all know the problem is the goverment, However there is not much that can be done. Alot of countries are communist at heart but will never tell it. They don't want to help Cuba and it is a sad deal. Even living in Canada we meet people all over out of country, that are looking for places to retire. Sadly Canada is communist too. Or it sure seems that way these days. We as people have to stand up for all the rights we are losing. Sadly most of this is done in courtrooms behind our back. Yes lets help Cuba but lets look into our own countries affairs. Thanks for watching and for yopur comments.

Any cigar in which the tobacco is grown in Cuba, and the cigar is rolled in Cuba, is a real Cuban cigar. So yes, fake Cubans from Cuba are still Cuban cigars. It's the same tobacco. You might say its a fake Cohiba, or fake Partagas, but it's still a real Cuban cigar. The only problem I see is if it were rolled with short filler. Problem is, you don't know unless you cut it open, and then you destroyed your cigar. So its not worth cutting it open.
