Idk if anyone else has tried this but you can make a flanger by automating the milliseconds of delay parameter inside the comb filter with the modifiers, its not exactly the same but its in the ballpark

I hate this pedal with a passion. Presets are unusable as are 90% of the community presets. Had it for a year and can't program anything that's musical in a live situation. I had one patch I programmed and kind of liked. Saved it to the #1 bay. When I went to hit it live, it wasn't the same patch. And now they've done a "software upgrade", which has made it so now I can't edit it thru my phone and the USB connection to the computer fails at random times, losing any work I had done and even crashing the computer. What a waste of a lot of money and time. Selling it.

Finally got mine, coming back to this video after playing around for quite a few hours to see if I missed anything! Really enjoying this pedal with different effects. If anyone's on the fence, this thing is unlike any other fuzz I've ever used and definitely worth considering if you want to tap into a more synthetic tone while maintaining the character of your instrument.

I’ve got a somewhat unorthodox question and I’d love your take on it if willing. I’m a long-time bassist with multi-genre experience and I’m starting a top-shelf funk band. I love the idea of being able to cover/double some of the synth lines. I already own some synths for edm production and have an HX stomp with decent synths and I’m confident I could just bring keys as well if need be, but I’d prefer not to. I’m pretty set on the C4 due to size and ability and tracking, but I’m concerned I’m not going to use it enough to justify it. Do you have any thoughts/advoce/ examples of synth bass in use you could share? TIA, great video!

Are the snare hits coming from tempi? Or the morph samples?

The snares are actually coming from the Erbeverb! I'm modulating it with a clock, and the abrupt voltage change causes that snare sound.

Hello. Between the xerograph deluxe and ehx qtron( 90s big box version) which one do you recommend and why? Can get the qtron for 1/3 of the price of the xerograph deluxe( latest version ) but if the differences are huge i don't mind playing more. I own frantabit which i love. Thank you once again, your videos are very helpful. Edit. Did you place the, chorus,flanger, tremolo, pad before the xerograph? Thank you again
@ZacharyRizer3 ай бұрын
I've never played a big box qtron, so I can't directly say. Buy the Xero is a very different style filter from the qtron. It is very synthy, 4 pole, and very clean. Less quacky and funky than the qtron. I believe I had the pad before, but I dont remember. Honestly either placement would be cool in this situation.

@ZacharyRizer Thank you. Have you been able to recreate the stutter mode of the ottobit with the lvx? If yes, how, and if no, how would you approach it?
@ZacharyRizer4 ай бұрын
@@iosifkalpaktsoglou2045 to my knowledge the LVX doesn't directly have/support this kind of stutter effect. You can get some glitchy sounds with the granular processor, and some multitap delays. But it won't have the controllability of the Ottobit.
@iosifkalpaktsoglou20454 ай бұрын
@ZacharyRizer I see. I love the stutter in the ottobit but I wish there was a wet/ dry mix as it completely blocks my dry signal. I place it in an fx loop of another pedal to overcome this issue. One thing I have not been able to find a solution to is how to control how often it occurs. I d love to see an expanded version with wet dry mix, control of how often the stutter occurs, choice of specific speeds in the random mode, envelope and lfo controls of parameters.

How does this compare to Broughton's Josh Wah in your opinion?
@ZacharyRizer6 ай бұрын
Honestly I never had both to compare directly side by side. But if my memory serves me correctly, the JoshWah was a bit 'dirtier' for lack of a better word. Felt a bit more raw. Whereas the 3leaf is more of a traditional 2-pole low pass filter, super clean and quacky.
@DaveDamnit6 ай бұрын
@@ZacharyRizer That was the impression I got from watching your videos side-by-side. The gain knob on the JoshWah really drives the sound a lot. I think your memory does serve you correctly. One for grit, the other a bit more for some retro funk
