Generator is tucked up behind the rear, starboard side stateroom. Engines are accessible underneath port and starboard beds. Not the easiest to access unfortunately.

A lot of boat for the Money those engines have many years of life left I I live in Florida where she would get a lot more use because we operate 12 months out of the year. This boat is interesting especially for where I live in Florida. I am thinking she could be an alternative to our house for number people that I know. Hmm I assume she has air-conditioning like a lot of videos brokers fail to go down to checklist for instance, when you mention the engines mention the horsepower as well as the hours as you did and mention things like air conditioning generators really I wish all brokers would simply work off of a checklist. Denison, you are big enough to set this up z

Damn. That’s the nicest ‘28 Bert I’ve ever seen. I’ve been in love with this boat since I was a teen and had the opportunity to fish from one. Retirement is now about a year away. I WANT ONE! I believe the production run was about 18 years on these. I’ve seen them priced anywhere from $20K to $100K, depending on condition and options. I’ve gotta figure it out pretty soon. Life is short, and I’m getting no younger.

The Sou'Wester 42 is truly a classic gem but the interior layout is old fashion and lacks roominess. For 12.5' beam and 42+ feet, there should Lyle far better utilization of space.

Beautiful boat, but I don't understand why someone with that much money to burn would buy an old boat with outdated technology, and most rigging reaching the end of it's useful life.

Because rigging gets replaced and being able to blue-water with "outdated technology" is the sign of a real sailor as opposed to someone who can't read a paper chart.
