I'm driving an 04 jeep grand cherokee, and intermittently the liftgate open notification pops up even when the liftgate is not or has not been opened. Would this fix help stop that notification?

There is a signal wire in the deck lid. I would imagine it's either a broken core wire there or more likely it's up towards the wire by the hinge in the rubber protection area. It's normal for this age and happens to a lot of them.

Thanks for for pointing that out,in all the gun reviews don't show it like that when you reset it to hear it,so now I'll know when purchasing this one,I have the older little brother the performance center m an p 9mm shield ez,I love that little pistol,I've had mine for 2 years now,but a year ago or so I saw when smith came out with this,the only downside on the performance center was the one married single stack 8 round,which is ok for home defense or conceal carry,but I like to be able to carry a few magazines that hold more rounds rather than carrying too many magazines that only hold 8

@TechReviewbyIrdi
@TechReviewbyIrdi 3 ай бұрын
They are from Amazon for the Shield plus, #6-32 x 1/2″ button allen screws for Smith and Wesson Shield Plus. The Riton has a flush screw area and button style tops are better. If you change it to a routed out one like Holoson, then I would go with Freedom Gorilla's cone/tapered style #6-32 x 1/2". You can go as little as 3/8" length, but I recommend the 1/2" as so does S&W for the mill depth. Use locktite blue to keep them from ever retracting. (hint-always use a white paint pen or nail polish dot on the top side of the screw and one on the body of the optics to make sure it stays torqued-just a little dot across the gap-like an indicator mark).

I've been out of touch with Autel in the last 2 years. But I had a shop login we used that we had an account with them. I once had our guys do the same and they did send us a set of disks. One was for flashing the device, and one was updates on cars in later years. I would start with their support link to see where they can point you. Otherwise, anything on the open net may or may not be viable or riddled with spybots for downloading of a site.

Need help. Long read ahead. I have a 1988 Honda Civic EF 1.3 automatic. I got the transmission changed in May last year because the previous transmission wasn't engaging from the 2nd gear to the 3rd gear. The new (second hand) transmission was fine then it started to show some lag when put in 'drive' (when the engine was cold). I was using the original Honda Transmission Fluid. Slowly that problem got worse and I'd have to keep the car running for about 10 minutes early in the morning and only then 'drive' will respond. I was advised by a local mechanic to change to Amsoil Transmission fluid as he mentioned it has additives and I did. A) First Amsoil Transmission fluid change. It showed improvements like the 'drive' gear engaging right after I started up the car but it would only coast in drive, stepping on the accelerator didn't have any response. I'd have to warm up the engine for maybe 3-4 minutes and would be able to drive off with no issues. I noticed with each passing week, I'd have to warm up the engine longer for the drive gear to engage. The problem came back in full swing after 3 months with newer symptoms. After warming up for about 10 minutes and driving off, the engine would have to rev up to 3k or even 4k in a very struggling manner and it would sound as though the engine has to work way harder to get from the first gear to the second gear. But once at operating temperature, the transmission works just fine and smooth but it would slip sometimes. This new symptom showed up after having driven the car for about 5k miles since the Amsoil Transmission fluid change. B) Second Amsoil Transmission fluid change. So I changed the fluid again and things got better than they were towards the end of 5k mileage of the first Amsoil fluid change. I drove another 5k miles and have another new symptom. The reverse gear won't engage when the engine is cold. So I'd have to keep the engine running for about 5 minutes for the reverse gear to engage and about 10 minutes for drive gear to engage with the current trans fluid. But, in order for first to second gear to shift smoothly, id have to run the engine for about 15 minutes (reach operating temperature). 15 minutes does the trick and the car runs just fine the whole day (absolutely smooth like a new car I'd say). But if I leave the car parked for a few hours, I'd have to run the engine for about 2-3 minutes for the gears to engage. This is the current situation I'm in. So basically I have three problems: 1) Drive gear won't engage if car isn't warmed up. 2) First gear going into second struggles a lot if not sufficiently warmed up. 3) Reverse gear won't engage if the engine is not warmed up for 5 minutes. My question is: Would Lucas Transmission Fix be effective in helping me with this issue if I were to just top it up with current Amsoil Transmission fluid? Any help that comes my way is very much appreciated. It's the only car I have and I absolutely love this car. Thank you so much.

That sounds like the seals and expansion to heat issues. If it catches once heat starts to warm the fluid, viscosity also changes with the expansion. It's really the seals doing this. The seals within the transmission have hardened where they leak until things inside the transmission heat up and expand and then the transmission shifts normally. The reverse is separate but shares the seals on that side. Catches differently until the seal expands. It's usually a rebuild with new seals.

The Maverick 88 is probably the best shotgun value out there. It's basically a de-featured Mossberg 500 that costs half as much as a 500 (and about a third as much as a 590). I'm waiting to see if Mossberg makes a Retrograde version of the Maverick 88. 😁

You can try discharging the vehicle(actually the body controller) by disconnecting the battery for around 5 minutes or longer. That would be where I would start first. They get into these glitches after some time. There will be a lot of new things that will happen like throttle response comes back and so forth. Your uconnect may take a few minutes to reset itself as well.

Thank you for your video. I just bought the Equalizer. Haven’t shot it yet. I’m having a terrible time pulling the slide off without touching the grip safety with my arthritic hands. I’ve tried both ways you suggested and it’s very difficult. Does it get easier as the gun breaks in? Any other suggestions?
@TechReviewbyIrdi
@TechReviewbyIrdi 4 ай бұрын
Yes, it does get easier. I've gotten into a new hold to release the slide without touching the back. I sandwich them with the business end down. the slide parallel. My left goes down, my right goes up. I'm cupping the picatinny rail and trigger guard with the right. And I'm holding the front sight and serrated edges with my left.

can you cowitness with the stock irons and the holosun 407k?
@TechReviewbyIrdi
@TechReviewbyIrdi 4 ай бұрын
It works. It's 1/3 co-witness. The 407k has a decent rear cutout and wins over most out there. in height allowance for sight view. The front sight is normal in height and the rear is 1/3 in height. I've had a few and have only looked for ones that can do a full Co-witness. Not too many red dot bodies will do a full on the micro 9's or even this bigger Equalizer. But the Equalizer is set as a combat-hold for the front sight for point-of-aim targeting. Meaning the front sight is better over the point of impacted target. You can look up the different co-witness versions. The three are No Co-witness, 1/3 Co-witness, and Full Co-witness. Sight change would get you a full co-witness, but the 1/3 works very well for this handgun.
