Saw them after the first album on Sire in 86 supporting the Woodentops at the ICA in London. No band ever bettered the Woodentops live back then. It was an event not a gig. Christ it was a thing ❤

This album conveyed such a complete array and nuance of emotion....much of which was loss, hopelessness, betrayal, soul & spirit evisceration, etc....and i love it best to this day. None other.
