ACTUALLY recorded Sept 17-20 in 1973 in Dallas at GERTIES. Mistakenly sold as the '74 tour, but they didn't play Dallas in '74. The recording was taken from different days. Info on this show is on the Dolls tour website. I have the vinyl bootleg.

Made sense then, makes sense now, classic. Bluetooth listening while rowing only caught the end of the slide show - your clever!

Never heard this. We know now how lucky Grace Slick was to get discovered and invited to join Jefferson Airplane on this showing but it's always great to hear these early growings of the famous and successful.

I'm in my 30s, and I have to admit I never really "got" Talking Heads until my friend (in her 60s) got me to go see this movie with her. Oh. My. God. Not only the best concert movie I've ever seen, but it's been months now and I keep revisiting the music. Call me a full convert.

Watch a quarter of this film and if you can't see why the Talking Heads are one of the greatest bands of all time u must not be living entitiy, Organic, AI or other cuz these guys and girls will make Data and a Forest filled with nothing but trees move and much like James Brown I feel sorry for anyone who ever had to follow their performances

I saw David around the time this album came out at the Longhorn bar in Minneapolis. Sylvain was in the band that night. The Suburbs, a local band, warmed up. An outstanding concert.

Aalong with Pink Flag,& Chairs Missing the LP "154" forms a trio of Wire's first 3 albums. These 3 albums formed the best group of punk, post punk and electric post punk. All are incredible and are finally getting the accolades due them. I saw Wire in 1977 at CBGB and I believe Wire to have the energy of the Ramones along with the intellect of Talking Heads. 154 reminds me of Brian Eno using sounds that are distorted to make music extending the boundaries of the music of their day. Coincidentally I was listening to 154 last night, quite impressive. Best song is "Longitude....Latitude." Their first 3 albums is the best music England had to offer in the late 70's.

My favourite album of all time. At the time, it had everything I wanted from an album. They were young, played heavy rock, had attitude and had humour. For me, a perfect storm. A lot of people dubbed them as early punk but l like to think they were early metal with a punk attitude.
